N.4 High Performance Hair Care Lumiere d'hiver (Clarifying Shampoo) 8.5oz

I love the No 4 care line! I am gluten intolerant and have sensitive skin. It is so difficult to find a high quality hair product made of amazing ingredients and does what it says that is also gluten free. I have 2a/2b wavy hair and can wear it straight or more wavy when I want. It curls easily but is fine in texture even though I have a lot of it. This clarifying shampoo cleans your hair of any product buildup without stripping hair. I use it once a week. It smells amazing! I have bought 6 of the line products in the last two months. I have been satisfied with each. I love trying new products and often get bored or notice a skin reaction after using them for awhile, but I'm sold on this product line. If you have fine hair and need a lightweight product or have sensitive skin (or even if you don't), I highly recommend you try it!

I first received a sample of this shampoo in my Birchbox (that is the sample bottle in the photo next to the one purchased) and once I tried it I was immediately hooked. I have incredibly thick,long hair and with that comes dandruff and sometimes an uncomfortably dry scalp. I have tried a number of different specialty shampoos, drug store shampoos and even oil treatments but nothing ever really seemed to work. I have always been happy with the assortment of shampoos and hair care products I have received from Birchbox and I always hoped I would find a brand that solves my hair issue through the samples they send each month. The whole N4 line is actually pretty incredible, I have now sampled almost everything they make and told myself to at least buy a full size version of the shampoo which I did. I will say, this shampoo is probably not for everyone, it is pretty barebones though very nourishing. It is meant to not strip your hair and leave your hair and scalp feeling clean which it definitely does. It doesn’t really have a particular smell and the color is like a watery caramel tone. It also doesn’t lather up like normal shampoo but still rinses clean and leaves my scalp feeling nourished and my hair feeling soft and easy to manage. The box it came in was very nice as well, I am a sucker for aesthetics so this was a nice touch. Highly recommended

Great Product! I got this in my Birchbox and absolutely love how clean it makes my hair feel. The low suds takes a little getting used to and I found myself using more than was probably necessary at first. I didn't think about this at the time I ordered it, but the bottle is a very inconvenient shape to really fit well on most shower shelves and you need to push down with a little force to dispense the shampoo from the pump....so a shower caddy that hangs is probably not a good place for it. Mine sits on the shower floor which is less than ideal, but with corner shelves and a hanging shelf there isn't another place to put it. On another note, we have a 3 yo that gets mild cradle cap and this shampoo works great for that and is gentle enough to use on him.

I received a sample of this from Birchbox, and it's by far my favorite shampoo. My hair always looks great when I use it, soft, shiny and great body. The scent is nice, kind of like an expensive powder smell. I've read complaints it doesn't lather; you need to mix a bit of water into it in your hands, distribute it through hair and then lather up (it's really thick) The bottle lasts forever so really worth the cost. Watch the price here, you can find it for $15-17. My daughter asked for it at Christmas, I also got one for dil. I also love N.4 non aerosol hair spray. Both products have helped my hair be the healthiest it's ever been; co-workers have asked me what I'm doing to my hair because it always looks nice.

This line is a little pricey, but it's worth it. It makes my fair, which is very fine and thin, feel very soft and clean. It seems to add a little volume also. I like the smell, and it lasts in my hair all day. I have friends who say they don't care for it, but I had a sample in my Birchbox to go off of.

Based of the sample I got in my BirchBox months ago, I can safely say that this product is the real deal. So happy to get this product for $9.99 while the original price is around $28 This shampoo arrived in a plastic wrapped box. Upon removing the plastic, I discovered a smooth, matte, box- kinda like the box an iphone comes in. It smells DIVINE, very powdery, and leaves my hair so smooth and shiny. Leaves my hair so clean yet not dry. I have oily hair and use this once a week My curly 3a hair loves it!

Let me start by saying I do not use "high end" beauty products, I'm too frugal. So how did I end up buying $28 shampoo? A sample came in my sisters birch box...and I found my soul mate. I don't use hair product and don't have oily hair, so I have no idea why I would need a clarifying shampoo but this shampoo smooths the hair and smells wonderful. A little goes a long way on my long, thick hair. I hate the price tag, but its my one splurge and I have never found a shampoo I would bother to write a review on. I don't even need a conditioner with this and I am used to using extra moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Yet it by no means makes your hair flat or greasy- I think it would be good for any hair type. It is my go to for a guaranteed good hair day.

Overall, the product is great, but I was mislead by my hairdresser to buy it... she works at Aveda and told me this was a great 'all natural' shampoo. It's not 'all natural'. I especially don't like that there is 'fragrance' in it. It has a great lather, and my hair did okay with it, but it's just not for me. My hairdresser told me it was the greatest shampoo she has ever used and calls it 'liquid gold'. I can certainly see why others like it, but it's not for me. And it didn't do anything special for my hair; same results that I've had with similar priced shampoos. I used it for about a month, until I found something else that I liked better. Giving it 4 stars, as it is a nice shampoo.
