When i mop, its not spinning. I tightened the handle over and over again, so why is it not spinning?

The mop doesn’t spin when you are mopping. It spins out the excess water back into the bucket. Dip the mop in the water, place the head in the white upper part then step on the pedal. Pushing the pedal down causes the head to spin at the end of the handle, releasing the excess water so it’s not too wet when you put it to the floor.

what size across is the disc on the handle that holds the mop head?

Approximately 8 inches... best and easiest mop I've ever used. Love it!
