I ordered multiple products before this that said they had firm hold and then seem to have no hold at all. It was just confusing and bizarre. This product is great. It's a quality product and looks natural in your hair. Spread evenly and style. If you get the right amount your hair will look dry and keep it's shape.

I suppose this is a bit unfair and I had to blackout my husband‘s face or he’ll unalive me LOL!!!! Before is also before a haircut as he was working undercover and I just thought it was pretty funny as there is no gel in it so there before is no American crew and the second one is a haircut and American crew. It is by far his favourite he loves it. He likes the consistency. It doesn’t flake. It doesn’t make it look like there’s any dandruff on a black jacket, which is nice cause a lot of hair gels can do that and it washes out and keeps his hair soft doesn’t dry out his scalp all in all it’s a great product he even likes their shampoo And conditioner. He’s not fond of the paste it’s too much for him a little too thick, but maybe for a younger crowd it would be good to spike their hair. However, the gel for him is great and it’s quite strong as in the thickness of it but yet it’s not a paste it’s a gel. He has something like six Cowlicks and this gel actually keeps them tamed, which is no easy feet unless you want to use a balm or a paste. This American crew gel it works for those really well. He gets pretty upset if he doesn’t have an extra one sitting around waiting when he gets to the bottom. He’s gotten to a point where one time when there was not an extra one in the bathroom cupboard and he was running incredibly low he actually took some scissors cut it open and scooped out what he could that says a lot about how much he likes it. And the price seems to be about what I find everywhere else unless you are a hairstylist and you can buy it from a supplier. The price is decent. Never had an issue never had one burst. They’ve always been in good shape and I’ve purchased it from my hairstylist for him and it’s exactly the same so it’s authentic in my mind now I just have to cross my fingers that he doesn’t see this. LOL!!!! I just wanted to get that review out and let people know. This stuff works it really does and from a woman’s perspective it smells really good without being overpowering and with a man that makes a difference because you’ve got a really strong sent deodorant and then you’ve got a strong cologne and then all of a sudden you’re gonna add on top a really heavily scented hair product no no no no no no .The scent on this is so mild. It’s pretty much not there.
