Now Advanced Magic makes the fourth book in this series I have read. These books really resonate with me and I will reach for the next Davis Magic book as soon as I finish this rave review.Don't let the word magic scare you. These books can/will be enjoyed by anyone with any belief system. Nothing spooky, just good solid wisdom.Furthermore, cost is almost nonexistent. Genny gave me one for free, Kindle Unlimited for another, so less than a few bucks for all four Magic books so far. And any cost associated with the Doing Magic books goes to a good cause.Doing Magic books by Genevieve Davis are well written, extremely fun, and entertaining. It is book 3 in the series. Book 1 prepares a reader for a shift in a state of mind, Book 2 gives you tips and techniques and Book 3 gives you the Taj Mahal of information :) Each book can be read on its own however, I strongly suggest that a reader purchase all three books and read them in order. It will help you in the long run. Each book is very inexpensive and all the proceeds go to charity (funding an orphanage). The contents of this book are the same as some very expensive self-help courses that costs thousands of dollars. Trust me on this! If you feel you are missing something, buy all three books. They are worth the read. Before May 2014 my relationships with elevators were a complete disaster. Every time I approached an elevator I expected that I would wait a _long_ time, and it happened consistently in more than a half of cases. In April 2014 I read book "Becoming Magic" by the author of this book and on the 27th of April I started journaling good things that happened to me during the day. One of those good things that happened rather consistent (several times per week) were elevators that were ready for me when I approached them. The last mention of fact that an elevator was ready for me in my journal was on the 2nd of August. Just because it was no more a problem for me by that time.Over these 98 days I completely changed my perception. Now I expect that an elevator would be ready for me instantly or quickly. And since that time I have experience of elevators being ready for me instantly in about half of cases, being ready in about 10 seconds in about another half of cases, and I have to wait long time such as 1 minute in about 1% of cases.So what actually changed? Was it only my perception that shifted from glass half empty to glass half full? I believe that more tangible shift happened as well. I believe that I also changed strategy of calling elevators in one place and I changed time of day when I approached elevators in the second place. But also I would not deny that my perception could compress some wait time so that I perceive slightly longer pauses as slightly shorter. Anyway I'm happy with my relationships with elevators by now (December 2014).Bad thing: this was the _only_ thing that resulted _consistently_ for me from using "Becoming Magic" technique.Good thing: this transformation _has_happened_. And this book "Advanced Magic" reveals the way to reproduce this success in all areas of your life.The key principle of the book is not new. Your life reflects your beliefs. Not your wants, not your thoughts, but your beliefs. I've seen this principle in many places, heard from many authors. The latest analysis of my life in this light resulted from reading a book by Joe Vitale about a month ago.What's new and original and most valuable in this book "Advanced Magic" is the way to shift your beliefs. For 7 months passed since reading "Becoming Magic" I learned a number of belief changing techniques: affirmations mental/oral/written, subliminal messages visual/audial, EFT/Tapping, Ho'oponopono.This book "Advanced Magic" presents another way that was proven effective by my story in the beginning of this review. This way is repeated noticing and journaling of _any_tiny_ evidences that what you aspire is true. And noticing it often. Maybe every day. These tiny unsure evidences will change your perception, beleifs and then your life will change according to these beliefs.My fault with applying "Becoming Magic" journaling technique was that I had not set specific goals for evidence. So my notices of good things were random, and the only consistent (almost every day) evidences were about elevators. With the knowledge from "Advanced Magic" I can manifest something much much much more interesting.Another teaching of this "Advanced Magic" book is that you should not see setbacks as something bad, you should see setbacks as good, as stepping stones to your success, as means to learn and change something. The trick is to evaluate a seeming setback not as a cause to stop moving but as natural thing that can lead to something better, learn from it and keep moving on.At last I wanted to share commonalities of this book and another book highly respected by me "How to Solve All Your Money Problems Forever" by Victor Boc. That book teaches that image of something being true attracts it and addiction to something repels it. That book suggests every day affirmations for attraction and glad-giving for eliminating addiction at least to money. This book suggests evidence journaling for attraction and a week per month without wants for detachment. These books propose different techniques but speak about the same core concepts. And it confirms that the core concepts are true.I highly grateful to Genevieve for this new book.
