Ghostbusters Level Pack - LEGO Dimensions

Excellent product, my son loves it so much.

Ghostbusters are two of my all time favorite movies and I loved the cartoon as a kid and now. I still remember seeing the second one with my dad in the theater. I actually saw the first with my mom last year in the theater. Anyway, it is super fun to have these little lego things in my collection now, one for the fact that they look cool and two for the fact that they allow me to play the level. The game plays out just like the movie. You see the lego characters as the characters and it starts with the dinning scene. You get to see Slimer! You have to build the car and the trap. It is so fun catching the ghosts. I only wish they had all of the characters from the movie. Some have complained that they voices are just taken from the movies. Well, I thought about that. I think it is even better that way. Instead of trying to redo something as great as these movies, they use clips FROM them. It sounds like the movies for that fact that it is. Also, it has to keep the cost down. I just started this pack and love it. I hope they release more levels for this series. They could release a Real Ghostbusters level pack! Update: So, not only is this the funnest level pack I've played, but, it has the original music! I am not sure how much is on here, but I am completing something now that I finished the level and it is playing. I can not believe they are using the original music. One of my all time favorite soundtracks.

I like playing Ghostbusters Level pack because you have the main guy 1 st and then the Eto car to make up while you play the game and then you have to make up a ghost trap which are also indued in the Ghostbusters Level pack. It is also very easy to play and you can hear the theme song to the Ghotstbusters after you have finshed the last part in the game. I really like theme song because it very catchy and everyone knows all of the words even if you are a fan of the Ghostbusters or not a fan of the ghostbusters as the song appeals to everyone young and old. It is also very bright and coluorfull in Ghostbusters Level pack and also very funny in the Ghostbusters Level pack. From Claire Scott

The Ghostbusters level pack comes with Peter Venkman, Ecto-1 and the ghost trap. It also open a new level apart from the Ghostbusters Lego World. The new level is easy, fun and short and in the end you unlock all the ghostbusters members to play as characters (Rey, Egon and Winston). Peter Venkman head has two faces, one is surprised and the other one is almost smiling. His abilities are ghost puzzles, ghost suspend, hazard protection and laser. I really don't use his ride, I prefer Homer Simpson vehicle, and I only use the ghost trap to trap ghosts, I have all the upgrades for this device but I don't use them. I really like all the details with this Lego figure, it's very well done. The only thing I wish is for the level to be a little more long.

This really is one of the best packs I've gotten so far. The Venkman character is fantastic. I love the proton stream, which works against ghosts and gold bricks. The ghost trap is a fun addition and really completes the feel of being a Ghostbuster. It's nice having a second player to bring the trap over while you're in the middle of wrangling ghosts. The added level is one of the better one's that has come out and definitely takes more time than some of the others. While you only control Venkman or one of your other Lego characters, the other three busters are present during the level and will often aim and fire at whatever you are going after, which is a great touch. The story is ripped from the first film with all of the Lego touches we know and love. Similar to Doctor Who, completing this level will allow you to select which Ghostbuster you wish to play as, which is a great added bonus. The HUB world is great, full of detail and incorporates elements from both films, including the old subway system and the Titanic itself! Definitely a welcome addition for Dimensions and Ghostbusters fans alike.

This pack is a must own if you have the Lego Dimensions game. This pack works on any system and gives you a great extension on your game. I love the ghostbusters franchise so I feel this pack is totally worth it for me. The pack follows the storyline of the original ghostbusters movie in an abbreviated way so if you are a fan of the original this is the perfect level pack for you. I am not a big lego fan but I love dimensions and all that it offers, everything is so cute and fun to play.

I'm really torn about reviewing this set. On the one hand, I love Ghostbusters, I had a fun time with the level pack (Which is an abridged romp through the first movie in Lego style), it opened up the Ghostbuster Adventure World for Free Roam for me, and both the Ghostbuster and Trap are used a lot in Lego Dimensions overall. I say Ghostbuster because after you beat the level pack, you can play as any of the original 4 Ghostbusters after that point and can switch with ease on the character wheel. On the downside, I really don't care for the Ecto-1 actual Lego build. It's the only car that I know of in the game that the model doesn't actually have 4 wheels, just the two front ones and would more slide rather than roll if taken off it's base. Unlike most (if not all?) the other characters, there isn't any original dialogue from the boys in gray; it's all sound clipped from the film, so there isn't the same kind of unexpected and interaction with other characters. There's also that whole quandary of the set being necessary to get all the achievements and opening up so many areas of the game, so there's forced reasons to get this set beyond simple love of the characters/franchise and wanting to experience the set and add the characters to your roster. The level pack itself isn't bad, but it isn't great either. In some ways it doesn't feel like it has the same level of effort put into it that some of the other level packs have (Doctor Who in particular), though it's still better then some others, so your mileage may vary.

The aunt gave my son a gift certificate for Amazon. This one was on his list and Amazon had the best price at the time - $19.99. This is also his first level pack for Lego Dimensions. At this time he really enjoys the music that is playing in the background. I know it as I have the Ghostbusters move soundtrack on cassette. In his words its great. It helps him capture the ghosts and get them out of his way.
