I WISH I COULD BUY THIS VACUUM 100 TIMES
I cannot believe I never left a review for this. This vacuum is easily one of the top 5, maybe top 3 purchases of my entire adult life. I don't think I could adequately express how much I love this vacuum in words. I have had the absolute PLEASURE of using this vacuum for about 3 months now, and I have not one singular complaint. I keep a very clean house and vacuum once a week at minimum and when I say I can run this over my carpet 3x over and pull up dust and pet hair not visible to the naked eye, I mean it. I have 4 cats. This vacuum does a phenomenal job of getting up pet hair and any litter they track around the house. The canister is so easy to clean, it usually does not require sticking my hand up there to pull anything out. Hair does not wrap around the spin brush and that has been nice compared to other vacuums I've used in the past. The swivel head is SO GOOD for getting into tougher spots. If you think your vacuum doesn't need headlights, you're wrong. I can see SO much better. Another feature I noticed by happenstance was how great the suction really is. I had spot cleaned a stain on my carpet with some water and carpet cleaner, and even after dabbing up the excess liquid, I could visibly see the vacuum sucking up even MORE water from the carpet that wasn't able to be seen or felt. The attachments are fantastic, particularly the one for vacuuming furniture. It sucked up every bit of pet hair with ease. Fully assembled, it's fairly lightweight and easy to maneuver around the house. The enclosed HEPA filter is something that really sold me on this vacuum as an allergy sufferer. It doesn't kick back any debris when using, and no stinky smell escapes like some older vacuums. I also like the option to change the mode for either carpet or hardwood. It works perfectly on every surface I've used it on. The only ONLY thing I would change about this vacuum is I wish it had a retractable cord that sucked itself up, but it would still get 100 stars from me. They could charge even more for this vacuum. This vacuum was not even within my means. I financed it, and I have no regrets. Pry this vacuum from my cold, dead hands. Cremate me with this vacuum. Buy this vacuum.

A Super Long and Very Honest Review of this Vacuum, Including a Pros and Cons List
Important notes: I have not had this vacuum for long at all and have only used it a handful of times, so I cannot speak to its lasting power or it’s quality over time. I do not have any stairs, so I cannot attest to its stair cleaning ability. I am also a vacuum newbie, and don’t have a ton of vacuum experience to compare this to. However, I do have a deep love for vacuuming and will try as be as unbiased and honest as possible My review is five stars, when taking into account the price and promises of this vacuum. I’m sure there are vacuums that work a thousand times better than this, but for the price you are getting a quality vacuum. I wouldn’t say this vacuum is worth $500, but it is worth the <$200 I payed for it. Pros: - vacuum is easy to assemble and easy to take apart, with clearly labeled latches for all the features that can be detached and turned on/off - i find the whole thing very customizable and modular, but still easy to understand - the attachments are well designed, with the brush attaching to the tube attachment, and they store nicely on the main body - i wasn’t totally sold on the lift off feature, but i think it’s totally awesome after using it. i can get all sorts of new places - the lights on the front are incredibly bright and more useful than i thought they would be - the cleaning is super easy, and i appreciate that the filters can be reused and don’t create unnecessary waste/have to be ordered - it totally gets pet hair out of the carpet as promised - the tube is super flexible, and i love that you can use both the handle/wand as well as the tube on its own Things that are not pros or cons: - the vacuum steers pretty well, but can be a little unpredictable to control. there is definitely a learning curve - you have to reach inside the dirt chamber to clean part of the dirt chamber setup, which is probably standard, but is a little gross - vacuum is not super loud, but definitely noisy. pretty standard - attaching the lift off feature back to the base has a bit of a learning curve, more so than the other attachments - there is no lever to take the vacuum out of the upright position. i find this a bit stressful, as i feel like i’m going to break something. - I wouldn’t say the vacuum itself is absurdly heavy or unwieldy when used as a standard vacuum. it’s not as light as a stick vacuum, but i’ve certainly used heavier Cons: - the lift off feature is quite heavy. not great for people who are older or have mobility issues. i cannot imagine holding it while vacuuming blinds as is shown in the ads, and find myself usually setting it on a table/the ground - the reach of the lift off tube could definitely be longer - unlike other bissel vacuums, the cord does not wind back into the main body of the vacuum. i find it to be quite unwieldy, as it is very long. the extra reach is nice, but the cord is constantly in the way - i also find that the cord is hard to wrap, as it’s very thick and heavy - while the tank appears large, i find that it fills up quite quickly to the “full” line and needs to be emptied pretty often - the vacuum struggles to remove human hair from the carpet, and you will have to “scrub” the carpet with the brush attachment to get it out - the little brush attachment gets dirty really quickly, and you have to pull hair and lint off of it. also probably pretty standard, but it’s pretty icky. - the pet hair attachment can be a little difficult to use, especially when attached to the wand. and i don’t find myself using it over the normal brush attachment So that’s my review! Would I recommend this product? Absolutely, if you’re looking at mid range vacuums. It does what is promised, and as long as the cons don’t outweigh the pros, I would say go for it! I had a blast using this vacuum and will continue to have a blast using it until I can justify spending $500+ on a vacuum.

Bissell 2998
I like this vacuum. Pros: * It worked straight out of the box (i saw others had issues). * It was easy to put together. * I do like that this vacuum has long or short carpet switch. * I can see when it needs to be dumped and it is really easy to dump, too. * A little heavy but I have noticed lighter vacuums dont work very well so I dont mind. * You can get flexibility with the vacuum head (whatever you call it) but it also takes some getting used to. I was able to get it in corners and a little ways under my low couch. * When vacuuming the living room where everyone is (including my pittie), it seemed to be picking up the carpet as I went, lol. So that makes me believe it did a pretty good job. * The lights are very bright. I did not think I needed LED lights on a vacuum but here I am liking them! They help to see a lot better. Cons: * I didnt noticed much with the handheld attachment for dog hair. * Hair does get wrapped up around the roller even though it says it doesnt (when it actually picks it up). Im not sure how this would be avoidable and have never seen a vacuum that did not have hair wrap around it. My hair is also VERY long. * I did notice it doesnt pick up everything. We tested it on my daughter's NASTY floor that had earrings, fake nails, eyelashes, nose rings, etc everywhere (because if a vacuum could get that floor to look better, its a winner), and there was a clump of hair it would just not pick up. It wasn't that big either. It just flattened it to the carpet every time it rolled over it. * My allergies did start messing with me during and after vacuuming. Which I was hoping wouldnt be the case especially with the HEPA filter. I do wish there was somewhere I could put the attachments on the vacuum. Especially at that price. It picks up wayyy better than the Shark vacuum that looks very close to this model, but purple. The Shark smells awful and makes a horrible noise after only having it about 6 months. Hence, why I bought this vacuum. I can't really speak to build quality yet, but so far so good. I hope this vacuum lasts years to come. Do I think it is worth the almost $300 I paid for it, not really but i also havent figured everything out on it yet, either. Do I like it though, yes. I also appreciate that this company helps animals in shelters. Good causes will make me a sucker to choose your product over someone else's.

Highly Recommend!!!!
I'll start by saying that I did alot of research, read a ton of reviews and watched countless video reviews before buying this vacuum. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO glad that I went ahead and purchased it!!!! This vacuum was replacing a very expensive Dyson; which I HATE with all that I am!! It is the worst vacuum I have ever owned, and I was mortified at how poor of a job I discovered it was doing when I bought this vacuum. Now, I have a very tidy place, and I do not like clutter. I have two cats but I vacuum at least every other day. Maybe obsessive, but I like things clean. The pictures attached are from day one of vacuuming my 1,000sqft apartment. The canister was filled TWICE!!!! Despite the fact that I had vacuumed the day before with the Dyson!!! The suction is fantastic and will pick up a quarter. It's light and the high pile option glides nicely let my high pile rug. My only disappointment with this vacuum is that it does not seem to do that great of a job on the hardwood floors at my entry and kitchen. However, I have never had a vacuum that I found did hard wood floors well, so it's not a deal breaker for me. I have had no hair tangles in the machine ever after 2 months of use. It socks up the cat hair of the cat tree like a charm leaving it looking brand new! You do need to make sure when you use the spinning attachment to the hand suction that the vacuum is set to low pile. If it's on high pile it will not suck as well, and stops the blades when you push down. I feel it is not any louder than any other vacuum I have owned, and perhaps quieter than most. Definitely quieter than the Dyson! Maneuverability is fantastic and it glides and turns well. Overall I'm thoroughly satisfied with this vacuum and would highly recommend it!

The Bissell 2998 is a great buy!
This is a fantastic vacuum! We installed $14k of New Zealand wool carpet and needed a machine that works well with the brush roller turned off. After lots of time researching, and asking for recommendations, fortunately I found this Bissell. As another reviewer said - 'I thought my home was clean before'. Love the see-through canister that shows how much it picks up! Also love the lights, the lift off capability, the hose function, ease of cleaning it - everything! This is the first non-bag vacuum I've owned in 45 years and I appreciate the HEPA filter. Get this one - you won't regret it!

Best Vacuum
I love this vacuum. It is the best for picking up the pet hair. The swivel base is a plus and negative. It maneuvers great, but sometimes it manurvers more than you want. I also worry that the release will wear out because there's no release button, you just hold down the base and pull the handle, but if you get the handle too high while vacuuming it locks back in place. Regardless, for the quality of vacuum, it is hard to beat...

Tangle Free?
If you don't have dogs or concerns about pet hair this vacuum might be alright for you. However, if you do have pets that shed (I have two golden retrievers) then I hope this review will help you. I have had this vacuum for about three months and use it once or twice weekly on the tile and carpet floors in my roughly 2200 square foot ranch house. Every time I use it, the brush has to be cleaned to remove dog hair. In order to completely clean the brush you have to remove 6 screws so you can take off the brush cover and then pull the brush out. When you take it out you have to disconnect it from the belt drive. Also, the way they designed this vacuum, the hair wraps around the end of the brush (opposite end from the belt drive) and eventually starts to infiltrate the interior of the brush. When this happens the plastic at the end of the brush will start to melt and break down. The only way to continue to use the sweeper is to replace the brush. So far, I have replaced the brush three times, and like I said I always clean the brush of hair whenever I use it. The most frustrating thing is the response I got from Bissell when I called them to try to get help with their product. This vacuum has "TANGLE-FREE" in big letters right on the front top of the cleaning head. When customer service answered and I explained my concerns with the vacuum, they said it needs to be cleaned "constantly" or it will get tangles and not work. I told them have been cleaning it constantly and still have problems with the brush design and have had to replace the brush three times. They were not helpful and just kept repeating that is needs to be cleaned constantly. I ask to speak with a supervisor. This seemed to irritate the customer service rep and she told me she would get one when she could find one. After holding for 45 minutes, I gave up on getting any satisfactory response from Bissell. The initial cost of this machine combined with the aggravation and cost of buying and installing replacement brushes make it a terrible value for anyone with pet hair concerns. The weight and size of the machine is comparable with most other vacuums in this price range. The cord is not as long as I could be and that also makes using it more time consuming with compared to vacuum's with longer cords. Overall, I would never recommend this vacuum to anyone that has pets or concerns with pet hair pick up. The "tangle-free" claim is very far from the truth.

Worked well until it didn't
I purchased this on April '25. PROS: I found that it worked really well on rugs and pet hair. Worked decently on hard floors. Had good settings. The pet hair attachment worked really well. Overall great suction. The bristles hardly got caught in anything. Long enough cable for a full tour in a studio apartment. Great for vacuuming the car too. Great filters and generally easy to clean. CONS: It's entirely too heavy for what it is. It doesn't weigh a ton but for a vacuum it shouldn't be so uncomfortable to transport. Unfortunately, in this day and age a cable is a con because in a large enough house you'll need to keep unplugging and plugging it back in. The cable CONSTANTLY got caught under the vacuum despite my best efforts, to the point that the cables rubber cover was completely exposed after just a few seconds under the suction. The narrow bristle is absolutely useless. Just a cheap piece of plastic and cheap bristles that doesn't work well when attempting to reach for tight spaces. Then the difficulty of even attempting to clean the roller is entirely unnecessary. I had to undo 6 screws just to check for a clog. I am no longer with this vacuum since the belt responsible for the rollers movement became damaged. This is on June 2026. So I had it for a total of 1 year and 2 months. So not really worth it in the long run. I'd only recommend this to somebody with a lot more understanding of this brands machinery. Because the moment it doesn't work it's done for. It's too expensive for the time I had it.

Worth the purchase
Quite impressive. I have 3 different vacuums ( one for each floor) which were quite expensive. This is my preference and works the best. I didn’t think the light would matter and by golly. It hits the places I missed by my previous vacuum and I thought I was being thorough.

Prises non conforme à la Belgique
Gros problème en Belgique. C'est pas des prises pour la Belgique. J'ai dû le renvoyer malheureusement, pourtant je le veux vraiment.

American plugs are incompatible with UK sockets both physically and voltage wise.
Shipping a high voltage product in the UK with an American plug makes the product useless and poses an electrical risk.

American model with an American plug. Why don't you say that?
This is a great machine, but what Amazon does not tell you is that this is an American model and it comes with an American plug. It is not meant to work in Germany.
