Excellent bench power supply for the money
I purchased this bench power supply as a back-up to an Advantest system for a work project. The operating voltage range of this device is great and it did the trick. This power supply worked great out of the box. I verified the accuracy of the voltage set-point. I also appreciated the damped power up and power down feature. The current regulation functioned properly and was useful as well. Overall I was extremely pleased to have purchased this system. I believe this system was an excellent value for the money.

Works very well, very happy with it.
Updating my review, these things work great for the price! They are very good at keeping the voltage regulation as the amprage changes, even over large ranges. Only thing I'd recommend is having a simple line marking on the dials so you can see relative movement for adjustment. The display works great no need form setting/marks, just a simple line. You can see I used a paint pen and added them to mine. It comes in handy when you want to drop the fine in the middle before making Cora's adjustments. Works great! Is very accurate and consistent. Using it now to revive some 0v LifePO4 batteries. Got the 60v version because I see it being extremely useful as I'm planning on building larger 48v packs. Price vs. performance it's a great value.

Great Value
I needed a simple variable benchtop power supply for various radio repair tasks. This immediately paid off on my first project troubleshooting a battery powered radio that wouldn't power on. The battery pack tested good at the contacts, but the radio wouldn't power on. Connecting the radio to the power supply worked to power the radio. Even though the battery was good the contacts were faulty. Likes: Good solid power supply for lots of bench tasks Convenient & simple current limiting adjustments (to avoid melting stuff) Great versatility Large clear display Good supply leads Looks nice on the bench Dislikes: Output is about .07 Volts higher (@12v) than built in meter shows (wish there was an adjustment) Voltage output changes are delayed so the meter catches up after you are done turning the knob. Too easy to overshoot voltage target.

Stopped working after 2 years. I tried to reach out to customer service as this product was supposed to be lifetime warranty. I get no response.

Best for hobbyists who change voltage infrequently
Summary: This power supply seems to be aimed at hobbyists. It seeks to provide basic functionality (don’t expect bells and whistles) at a lower price than many power supplies. For the most part, it succeeds. The controls need some improvement to make this unit more user friendly. As is, it is a reasonable option if you are willing to be patient with the controls in exchange for getting a lower cost power supply. If they fixed the issues with the controls, this would be an absolutely perfect entry-level power supply. Recommendation: If you are a hobbyist who needs an affordable variable power supply and you mainly work with a couple of voltages, this power supply could work well for you. If you have to change voltages a lot, this may not be the right power supply for you. The good: - Stylish, not just another beige box for bench - Affordable and buy only the voltage and amp rating you need - Compact and lightweight - Voltage and amp controls front and center - Separate coarse and fine adjustments (should make adjustments easy but not so much in practice, see the bad) The bad: - When adjusting the voltage down, there is a very serious delay in the control input and the reading output which makes adjustments difficult - The fine adjustment knob has hard stops on the minimum and maximum which limit its use - No “output” button which disconnects power from the banana plugs while you adjust the voltage - The power switch is in the back Comments: I really can’t say enough about the styling. My other power supply looks very outdated, in comparison. The power supply gives you accurate voltage and current draw readings. And this is the single most important feature of a power supply. I’m never a fan of putting power switches in the back of devices. I hate to have to reach around and blindly hunt for a control. While I would prefer the switch to be in the front, given that this is an entry-level device and the switch is easy to find I don’t consider this a real issue for this device. This device really could use an “output” button to disconnect power from the banana plugs while power adjustments are made. This is a good practice to prevent accidentally overloading the device you are powering. Without an output button, you have to disconnect the leads from your device while you make changes. I also really like the voltage and amp controls being front and center, ready for immediate use. On my other power supply, changing power settings has you pushing buttons and turning dials so much it makes every simple power adjustment seem like trying to fly a 747. A product that can make voltage changes faster would very welcome. However, the controls need work. When you dial the voltage down, the output voltage is very slow to adjust. In fact, you can turn the voltage down, let go of the controller, and sit back and watch the voltage continue to drop. (The delay does not happen while increasing voltage.) Perhaps a bigger issue, though, is the hard stops on the fine adjustment knobs. You can only turn the knob so far clockwise or counterclockwise before hitting a stop. This means the fine adjustment knobs are only useful over a limited range. You have to make sure to get the course adjustment within this limited range to be able to hit your target value while making the final adjustment with the fine knob. Given the limitations of the controls, I recommend the following procedure for setting your values. - Disconnect the power leads from your device. - Turn the fine adjustment knob all the way to the left (counterclockwise) until it stops. - Use the coarse adjustment knob to turn the voltage down below your target value and wait for the reading to stabilize. - Use the coarse adjustment knob to dial the voltage up to a value slightly lower than your target value. - Turn the fine adjustment knob to the right (clockwise) to get to your final target value. - Reconnect the power leads to your device.

Excellent Value for the price!
To begin with, you're not going to find a power supply capable of supplying 60V at 5 Amperes anywhere below 4X the price this puppy is sold at !!! Hands down the best deal on the market. At $75 each, I'm actually looking to buy a second unit rated at 120V, 3A. Initially I was looking at Power supplies with dual or triple outputs, but they were all no less than $350 each - especially at current values of 5A or higher. This is the best deal for the $. There are a few small issues that I would hope the manufacturer will address quickly to make these units absolutely perfect. The dials are missing any VISIBLE tick marks (or at least the half way tick marks) on them - The tick marks that you see on my photo attached here - I had to paint-on myself after calibrating the ranges on both the voltage and current knobs. This is very important when setting an exact Voltage level or a Current Limiting value in CC mode or CV mode and always running out of the fine adjustment range because you have no idea where your fine or even coarse level marks are on the dials. Easy fix for the factory, but an important one for the customer. Secondly, the spacing between the ports are non-standard for any BNC-type banana plugs! This has absolutely no affect on the performance of the unit, but for those engineers and technicians who may have dozens of BNC banana connectors to re-use (instead of buying new ones) they will NOT fit as you may see on the picture! This would be a minor fix at the factory level, but an important one for many customers who have dozens of banana connectors to re-use. Finally, there is NO push-button to disable supply to all outputs if necessary without turning off the entire power supply. The only way to do that is to turn off the power supply. Presence of This option alone would make this unit an excellent supply for the money! Otherwise and excellent little power supply at a price that can't be beat for such high supply currents at high voltages !

Power Supply Performed Well - Easy To Adjust - Nice Metering
Granted that a power supply is a fairly simple device, it should be noted that there are several important bench "mannerisms" that make this one a nice choice. In general, it is small and light, and with clearly visible displays. It is relatively easy to set to coarse or precise values, although in a full turn-down to zero, there is a little discharge lag in the last volt or two. My use prior to this review was limited to about 1/3 of the unit's rated capacity, but in that scope I found no unusual performance issues and was quite satisfied with its electrical performance - voltage regulation, current limiting, and especially nice metering. The unit only ran the fan about 10 percent of the time under these conditions, and that was not very loud or bothersome.

Good enough for small tasks!
You get what you pay for, but in this case it’s not so bad. Others have indicated that the coarse adjustment is not user friendly due to the control that is used. The unit I received works fine for what I need. Anything high-tech, I’d get something else. Just remember to set your fine adjust in the middle and you should be OK. Note there is not a whole lot of fine adjustment, so turn the coarse very slow to get very close to what you desire. This unit might be an issue for anyone having to constantly change the output. As far as accuracy, I check with my Fluke and it puts out very accurately. Within .1-.2 v roughly compared to the Fluke’s reading. Other then the the adjust control being a little loose, I have no complaints. Worth what I paid for!

Kaufempfehlung? Absolut!

Tolles Netzteil
Gerät funktional und sehr kompakt. Der Lüfter läuft außer bei Volllast kaum. Preis und Leistung sind angemessen. Die Haltbarkeit muss sich noch zeigen.
