Plugged it in the keyboard and the computer and it works no problem. Just make sure to read the directions to match the right plug to the IN and OUT.

One trick pony, read before you buy.
This is really designed to link your PC to a device with a 5-pin MIDI input and/or a device with a 5-pin MIDI out. You generally won't use this to connect most MIDI controllers directly to a synthesizer. This cable requires USB power, and the USB MIDI out on most controllers cannot supply power (they often serve as the power IN for the device). Therefore, this will not work as a USB MIDI to 5-pin MIDI converter for linking your entry level controller to a synthesizer. If your controller has separate 5-pin MIDI out, just use a regular 5-pin MIDI cable for much cheaper.

Great plug and play MIDI cable with a good length
I purchased these cables for an older keyboard I just acquired that has midi ports instead of a USB 2.0 port. The cables are clearly labeled and color coded for midi in and out. They are a great length and make it easy to reach my computer from my keyboard. While you might find cheaper cables, these are a great value for money and I didn't have to work about the cable not working as advertised. No software installation or configuration was required, I was able to just plug in the cable and start using my device. Tech support sent me a message after I received the cable to make sure that it was working okay and not damaged in transit which I thought was nice. The cables seem pretty durable and I've had no issues with them so far!
