I'm happy to report that this unit does not suffer from any reliability problems after a good week of solid use. The unit is actually much smaller that the photos make it appear. It is solid aluminum, however the bottom plate is plastic and actually cheapens the feel of the otherwise solid design. My only other complaint is a pretty petty one, but the LED power light is unnecessarily bright... Like ridiculously bright. It's actually annoying in a dark room.Finally, the supplied USB-C cable works fine with my 2017 Macbook Pro, but it does not work with my 2018 Mac Mini for some reason.
