Dorman 751-712 Rear Driver Side Power Window Regulator and Motor Assembly Compatible with Select Ford / Mazda / Mercury Models

This got our Escape back in the game. Install wasnt too bad with hand tools, and the window moves like its had 2 cups of coffee now!

Replaced the assembly on my 2012 Ford Escape. Worked just fine, and as expected. Used a YouTube video to help with installation. Mostly to show to remove the door panel and all the trim. The assembly itself is pretty straightforward replacement.

Very fast shipping. Quality replacement. Fit perfectly. No issues at all! Wiring plug matched and very smooth up and down. Local parts shop wanted $40 more for off brand part. Line up with bolts and screws matched. Value for the expense.

I can not believe that I did not take any pictures of the Dorman 751-713 Rear Passenger Side Power Window Motor and Regulator Assembly. I always do, so I can include them in my reviews. In this case I placed the order on Oct 11, received the part on Oct 15 (it came early using free delivery) and installed it that afternoon. So no pictures. Anyway, I watched a 4 minute video and removed the door panel, rubber skin and the regulator assembly. Installed the new regulator, tested it and put it back together. Took about an hour and a half and I have never done this before. It fit perfectly and works like it should on my 2010 Escape. Here's a tip: I do not have a body tool to remove the door panel so I used a plastic bicycle tire removal lever. Worked great and did not scratch anything. Would highly recommend this product.

When my window decided to no longer roll up in my 2008 Ford Escape, I thought I was going to have to shell out hundreds of dollars to buy and have the new equipment installed professionally. Money that I definitely did not have at the time, which meant taping a garbage bag over the window and waiting months until I had the money saved. I was so happy to find this online and then I just had to watch a Youtube video online and my brother and I had the new one installed in about an hour and a half. We managed it without a torque screwdriver, though, just a heads up, it does make the job easier to have one. It took less time and less money to order this piece and install it myself than it would have sending it to a mechanic. I am sooooooo happy with my purchase!

Perfect fit & function in my 2010 Escape. About a 45 minute job from start to finish (but not my first time, either)! Plenty of how-to videos on YouTube; even a slightly mechanically inclined person can do this, and save hundreds of dollars over shop rates! You will need: a 10 mm socket, ratchet, and extention, a T35 torx driver, a set of picks, and a panel removal tool if you want to do this right. The hardware you remove will be reused. Don't lose it! And, a little bit of blue Loctite on the bar nuts and motor screws can't hurt. Not on the two screws that screw to the window, tho!

Installed in 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid Drivers Side, back seat window. Installation went smoothly with help from youtube video. Took about 75 minutes. The only problem was when I tightened the bolts / screws for installation. It felt as if I tightened them any more, they would strip. And I was not tightening them much. They were not as snug as the original unit. The unit did feel firm, and the window operated just fine. Make sure you keep the bolts you remove from the old unit as you will need them for installation of the new unit. When re-installing the door plastics, make sure you pay special attention on the pull up lock and the wire for the window switch.

Perfect fit and solved my problem. Amazon driver literally walked up as I was pulling out the old part. Perfect timing and easy repair! I bought an Amazon warehouse deal and it was in better condition than expected.

Ordered this replacement part because of the good reviews, and I am fairly impressed, so far. The part looks and feels more robust than the OEM part, and installing was straightforward:: a quick search on YouTube turned up some good video demonstrations. Hand tools are sufficient to remove the old part and install the new one. The worst part of the job was freeing the vapour barrier enough to get at the mounting hardware. The whole job took me about an hour to do by myself.

This was easy to install once you get the door skin off. Works well no problems at all. Better made than the original!!
