Hawke Airmax Airgun Scope 1"

This scope holds zero on my Benjamin NP Elite, where others did not. The glass is bright and clear with adequate eye relief at all magnifications. Adjustments are reliable, without having to fire multiple shots for it to settle down. The reticle is very nice. I wish it were a first focal plane design, so the mil-dots would subtend the same angle and be consistent at all magnifications, but I knew this was a second focal plane scope when I bought it, and am not deducting any stars on that basis. I would have preferred to have used Hawke's significantly cheaper 4x32 AO Mil-dot scope, but they don't stand behind them, if your air gun produces more than 12 foot pounds of energy. Such a scope may work well on rifles producing 18 or 20 ft-lbs, but they won't stand behind it, if it doesn't, so I went with this one. I didn't want to take the chance, and this one does do the job.

Excellent scope for the price. Put on my Air Arms S510 FAC Extra and get extremely good accuracy. Nice click type elevation and windage adjustments. Super nice reticle, field of view and eye relief. Negatives: * Objective focus adjustment is very stiff which does not make for quick focus at different ranges. * The lens covers throw the view out of focus, which wont adjust out, so they need to be removed before using. * The reticle is not illuminated. The scope does not come with a CR2 battery as described, so don't be fooled into thinking it has one. Deceptive, incorrect information in that regard.

Update: I'm not sure if the problem was with my gun or the scope I originally purchased but Hawke has a lifetime warranty on their scopes and they replaced mine. They were very easy and great to deal with and the scope has been dead on. I would recommend the scope and the company as well. I had a problem and they took great care of me. Thank you Original review: I've seen a few reviews that mirror my experience. I bought this scope as an upgrade to my Gamo spring air rifle. I sighted it in and and was hitting almost everything I was shooting at. And the misses were obviously me. I was very impressed. Then after a month of so and maybe 100 rounds, I couldn't hit anything. I set up to resight the scope but was unable to do it. Dialed in on bullseye, the scope was shooting in a 2-3" spread at 20 yards and totally inconsistent from shot to shot. Maybe I just got a bad one, but my scope is a piece of crap. Other's have had this experience so beware.

I'm very happy with this scope. Mine is mounted to a Weihrauch HW98. It is very solid feeling and exudes quality. All adjustments are smooth and consistent. The optics are clear and bright. The reticle is well thought out overall. However, I agree with others who have commented on how fine the reticle is. You can lose it against a dark backdrop because of how difficult it becomes to see. That shouldn't be a problem at the range, but I could see myself having a hard time aiming at a squirrel on a dark tree trunk during the dim morning hours of hunting season.

It lasted mabey 100 shots then started dropping. Then all over ... tried 5 sets of mounts . Then changed scopes.. stock gamo 3x9 and what do you know.. Hawke scope is a lemon!! Dont know it I just got a bad one or it cant handle the recoil of the Swarm Magnum.. but they say their high recoil rated... that is why I bought the Airmax.. but very disappointed.. going too return it for a replacement. I really hope it works out . The only thing I dont like was the reticle was really thin.. in the woods- trees hard too see. Works great for target shooting..Some things really bother me is the objective lens threads have loctite sealer in them. Signs of it being refurbished or really bad quality control... see pictures. Turret pointers move freely..Will update what happens Sent the scope bad on nov 10th. It was received on the nov. 13th. Its the 16th still no refund.. very very frustrated!!! As the first purchase was on October 5th. I still have no scope or refund yet. As you can imagine I'm not happy!!! Update. 1-15-21 Would NEVER RECOMMEND!! TRIED 6 OF THESE. ALL JUNK!!! this last one would have several random flyers.. then I figure it was shooting great if you were level... air few inches up on the target like 6 to 8 in it would shoot low.. air at the lower bullseye and it would be high..... shoot back at the center bullseye and it was on again... turrets weren't responding in correlation with the arrows.. moved it 5clicks up and it went down 2inches!!! Wtf!!! Sometimes a full turn and a half too get a response on point if impact... just for their price and saying it will hold up too the magnum swarm.. it didn't even take the swarm whisper. 22 recoil.. maney their 600$and up Airmax scopes are good.. but these Airmax 4x12x40 AO are completely useless!!! I will say the glass is super clear but at for performance these are crap!!! I but the Gamo 4x32 factory scope back on.. and was hitting 1in groups at 30yrs!! Now its seriously the Tack driver !! Cant believe all this time and frustration was due too Hawke Airmax Garbage!!! Hope this helps someone so they dont have to go threw this!!! Do not buy!!

Hawke ist wirklich ein heißer Tip wenn man ein Zielfernrohr in guter Qualität sucht. Für mich war wichtig dass das Glas die Belastungen eines Luftdruckgewehrs standhält, gute Qualität des Glases, gute Verarbeitung und einfach zu verstellende Türme. Kurzum, ich bin zufrieden. Vorteile: Glas, Klarheit und Lichtdurchlässigkeit wie bei deutlich höherpreisigen Produkten. Die Beschichtungen sind wirklich top. Absehen, sehr sehr fein (geätzt?). Der Umstieg von einem Duplex zum AMX Absehen ist schon eine enorme Umstellung. Es wird einfach eine viel höhere Anzahl an Möglichkeiten geboten (Haltepunkte etc. ). Nachteil: Montage liegt nicht bei. Es wird mindestens eine Mittlere Montage benötigt, niedere passen nicht. Für LG ist 11mm der Standard wenn nicht anders vermerkt. Für mich ist dass vertretbar, ich habe lieber ein gutes Glas und die Montage ist halt extra. Die Lieferung durch den Verkäufer Moobuy war Top Montage

I wanted a reasonably priced compact scope for a Crosman 2250xl. There are lots of budget scopes out there and I was willing to pay a little more than just opting for a really cheap import. I also wanted a scope that I could use in the limited space of my back garden and the 7.5m short focus was perfect. The scope came in a very solid box with plenty of protective packaging. It is supplied with comprehensive instructions describing how to fit the scope to your gun and how to set the scope up correctly. It includes a pair of covers to protect the optics and a lens cleaning cloth. The scope is really good quality, it has a satin matt black finish and feels solidly made. The turrets provide a very positive click adjustment and can be set by fingers, no need to use a coin or bladed screwdriver and risk damaging the lovely finish. There is an ocular focus ring so I could adjust the scope to my eye characteristics. After setting this up I found the reticle to be crisp and sharp. The optics are nice and bright for the size and I found the zoom ring very smooth. The scope holds zero and I have really enjoyed using it. I understand this scope is sourced from China but the quality is high and its obvious Hawke is using one of the better factories for their products. I don’t think this will be the last optics I get from Hawke.

Qualitativ ist des Glas wie übrigens alle Hawke-Gläser wirklich top und ein Hingucker. Das die optischen Verstellungen straff gehen finde ich in Ordnung, da verstellt man nichts unabsichtlich. Die Einstellung der Türme sollte meines erachtens besser spürbar sein, es ist zwar seitlich eine Skala vorhanden aber ich glaube da schaut man nicht hin. Der größte Kritikpunkt betrifft das Absehen. Warum man da so ein blasses Fadenkreuz abbildet verstehe ich nicht. Auf dunklen Hintergrund ist die Mitte nur zu erahnen, dass ist schwach und selbst bei den günstigeren Vantage-Modellen deutlich besser gelöst übrigens auch was die Verstellung der Türme betrifft.

Différence flagrante avec d'autres lunettes (Konus, Gamo, etc.). Bien sûr le prix n'est pas le même, mais la qualité et la fonctionnalité est remarquable. Si vous souhaitez faire du tir très précis (10, 20, 30 mètres air comprimé), avec un bon rapport qualité/prix (cette lunette est garantie 10 ans) alors n'hésitez pas.

Swiftly delivered with mounts included of which there was no mention in the product description, so that was an unexpected billy bonus. Scope performs as expected.
