I’m really pleased with the TP-Link UE300C USB‑C to Ethernet Adapter. It’s a compact and reliable solution for laptops that don’t have a built-in Ethernet port. ATTENTION: Well made adapter but check its suitability as it does not work with all android devices especially A11+ SUMMARY This is a reasonable well made adapter which works with SOME android devices but not all. In my case it works with 1) a Samsung R35 phone running Android 16 2) and Galaxy Tab A running android 11 3) BUT it does not work with the new Galaxy A11+ tablet also running android 16 The adapter labelling says that the hardware is version 2. The version number is not mentioned in any product literature or elsewhere - this is an critical omission as this information is important to the buying decision Version 2 hardware is understood to use the ASIX AX88179A chipset. The Version 1 adapter is understood to use the Realtek RTL8153 chipset. The Realtek RTL8153 chipset is believed to be more compatible with more android devices and versions. I needed an adapter which works with an A11+ tablet and therefore need an adapter which used the Realtek chipset. TP Link is a good brand but unlike other brands of adapter this version of the hardware does not use the RealTek chipset. So it is important to confirm before purchase that the V2 ASIX AX88179A chipset is compatible with your device VALUE: The price point (£9.99) is good value if this adapter works with your devices. The make quality and packaging justify this price point. A lower price point would represent a very good buy - if it works MY NEED: I needed a USB C to Ethernet Adapter to connect a Galaxy A11+ tablet to the internet in a location where there was no Wi-Fi. CONSTRUCTION: The adapter is well made and well packaged.

I bought this because my Dell Latitude 5320 had an annoying intermittent problem where Win11 would disable the built-in driver. A [Windows expert] friend of mine once showed me how to bypass it but the steps were not simple and I had already ordered this by then. So the next time it happened, I dug out this gadget, which I had been carrying around in my bag just in case. I looked at the enclosed setup CD and wondered how that was going to be any use to me and then, to my delight, the dongle started working a few seconds after I plugged it in - no setup, it just started working. I was also pleased to see that the laptop recognised it as a WiFi adaptor and just switched to using that but retained all its saved connection details so it connects to whatever router I had already configured using the [now defunct] built-in adaptor without having to reconnect and re-enter WiFi password. The small size means I can leave it plugged in, even when carrying in my case, just need to make sure that end is facing upwards in my rucksack so the dongle doesn't bang on the floor if I put my bag down hard.

Powerful compact dongle thats works straight from installation and has a good range. Easy to use and has not let me down. Keeps the speed for working

it worked well, but the speed of it depleted really quickly over the span of 3 months. this could be because it was used daily and could have dropped in quality from being so hot all the time. it couldnt sustain it and slowly the speeds went down and down.

Sorted out my outdated inbuilt WiFi on my Notebook. Been using it daily for over a week and it's on for at least eight hours per day. No problems so far.
