Freedom from Emotional Eating

Since I started the Paul Mckenna Techniques, Last year in July, I have been constantly losing weight. on the average of 3-3.5 pounds a month. I have a 12 year old and this is the first time since his birth, I have been successful in losing real weight, not just water weight, without ever going hungry. In fact, the most important part of the program is never getting hungry to the point of getting irritable . According to the research, the number one cause of weight gain in the 1st world countries especially America is dieting, emotional eating the second. But all my life I have been an emotional eater and didn't realize it until mckenna explained it to his readers world wide. We have a billion dollar weight loss industry and we are still the fattest people on earth...why? simply because diets don't work. And his hypnosis techniques are great for calming you down so you don't overeat when stressed. This is not a diet and yes you have heard a lot of diets claiming it's not a diet but any program that restricts you from eating any thing, even a spice or a vegetable is a diet. period. this program lets you eat any thing as long as you like it. It has changed my life for ever, for better..Thanks, Paul Mckenna.Update:06/07/14... Still losing weight..did not gain back any. Although, the weight loss dropped to a pound a month as I started going to college and didn't have enough time to listen to the CD regularly. Even after a year, you need to listen to the CD at least 3 times a week to keep your motivation up. Back listening to CD. I am writing this update so if you are tired of dieting and emotional eating, please try.

This is the third Paul McKenna hypnosis book/cd/dvd I've purchased. While I really believe in the power of hypnosis, I was still skeptical that it would work, long term, on a practical level. It's been two months and it worked for me. I switch between the I Can Make You Thin, Freedom From Emotional Eating, and the Hypnotic Gastric Band cds at night before I go to sleep and it's amazing. I've paired this up with an eating plan that works for me. I'm actually starting to want to be more active (go swimming, walking, etc) and that just wasn't me.I find I'm also calmer and handle the stresses of my day to day life better. I've been on "diets" before and have been successful, but this time, the weight is coming off and it truly seems effortless (although it's not). My portion sizes are 1/2 of what they used to be and I find myself eating very slowly. I enjoy my food a lot more now and I find I'm not only drawn to foods that are healthy, but that I didn't really consider before. It's odd. The best part for me is that I don't crave sweets...at all! I know this won't be normal for everyone, but for me that's something. When i would go on "diets" before, by the end of the first week, I would want chocolate or berries or something. With this change in my eating habit and the combination of the hypnosis cds, I'm content with a spoonfull of natural peanut butter as "dessert".This program did for me what it said it would do. It's helped me change my focus to enjoying what I eat, stopping when I'm full, realizing what true fullness feels like, and that I don't have to worry about my next meal because it will be there when I'm ready for it. For you emotional eaters, that's a biggie!If you're considering giving this program a try, do it. Good Luck!

I saw an article online with seven day access to the audio from this book (a 22 minute hypnosis). After doing it for a few nights I was amazed at how much it was working for me, so I began an online search to download it permanently which led me here to the Kindle edition. Unfortunately what others say is true, the product code provided to enter on the Hay House website for download of audio/video DOES NOT WORK and is invalid. The only reason I bought this was for the audio. So frustrated.

A cd is not in the book, you have to do a download from their website. If you do not know how to do this( it really is easy) or do not have internet your local library will help you. Take a cd with you. The book along is not enough. You really need the cd and the downloads to work this program. There are 5 downloads. This goes for all the book this author writes.

This is an awesome book. I have struggled with being overweight for years. I have always known the root cause was emotional, but could never figure out how to change. This book explains what happens in the brain when chronic stress sets in. This is a program that treats the root cause. I've only been practicing the program for about a week, but already let go of 5lbs. Try it, you will not regret it.

I love Paul McKenna and his books. They're very easy to read in a day or even two. I re-read it and then start implementing his suggestions in the book. I seriously love his voice and accent!!! Very soothing and relaxing. I don't even need to sleep to listen to the hypnosis part of the recording. I'm still working on the Havening Techniques in the book. I feel that it helps overall. I feel more positive after listening to the hypnosis. Whether you believe or not, it certainly lifts your spirits. Hoping this will help with my emotional eating and things that were stuck in my brain and under the surface for so many years.

I've been a fan of Paul McKenna. His I Can Make You Thin helped me a lot, but it took this book to finally allow me to get a handle on my emotional eating. One warning, it only works if you're willing to do what he says.Another plus, his techniques help you to relax and give some relief in this crazy world we live in.

Attempted to use for food management. Very dissapointed as the codes DO NOT work. The website continued to time out. I even went directly to the main website and it states the codes are invalid. I should have listened to the other reviews!!!!!

Amazingly enough this has definitely made some differences and all for the good, relaaxing cd and helpful, also easy to do/follow, book is easy reading, dvd is good too and believe its working, dont know how but it is, still need to carry on as not finished the course as yet, you really need to keep it up, so need a good 20 minutes to half hour depending on which part you are doing at the time. Would definitely recommend it.

This really helped me, I am surprised to say! Not even just in relation to eating either, I find that my overall confidence has been boosted. I am not dieting but was amazed to go back to my Mum's house and pull on my jeans which have not been worn since before my first pregnancy. Thoroughly recommend!

Four days in and I've read part of the book and used the DVD every day, and I do believe it's making a difference! It's helping me not to turn to food in order to blunt emotions, which is amazing. Looking forward to carrying on with this and seeing where it takes me. To anyone thinking of buying this, it's a small investment of time and money that is well worth a try :)

Excellent book and cd and dvd, well worth the money. You have to be prepared to put in the time and work though, it's not a quick fix. But if you've tried dieting and yoyo'd for years as I have, this book could be the answer. Has definitely helped me with losing weight but also with all kind of emotional issues I have had for many years.

Used this over a period of about 6 weeks and tried the techniques strictly but no effect
