Transparent Candy Copper Powder Coating Powder 1LB

Beautiful finish.. however i feel this color is best suited for aggressive things likw custom cars, and motor cycles.. its not a good color for the copper look in home furnishing.. there is a different version of this same type of transparent copper that is brighter and has more of a interior design quality to it.. you cant find that color on anazon.. i found it through one of the bigger powder coat suppliers online.. its called version 2 trasparent copper.. this version again is beautiful i just dont think it looks good in a home setting cuz its too dark and manly looking.. almost like the color of copper gets when it burns from electro plating with too much power in the solution..

This powder looks as good as it does in the pic. Brushing or sanding the metal first gives a nice texture finish.

Arrived quick, well packaged and air tight. Application was a little more finicky than other brands I’ve used with success. Once the powder coat takes it has a hazy copper look to it. Applied over polished metal after degreasing to remove any polish compound. Once it’s heat cured at 400 f for 10 min,.. it cures a root beer color. It’s not bad, a little shimmery, but not very close to copper. Maybe a burnt bronze at best. It’s like a metallic milk chocolate. Tried a few different heat settings and thickness levels,.. still had a darker than copper color when applied over bright metal. The powder coat appears abrasion resistant and for all other intents and purposes a good quality powder coat. But if your looking for that bright orangish hue of a copper penny or copper ore,.. this isn’t it. Maybe if they dial down the brown pigments, dial up the orange, add more metallic flake and pearl,.. then it would be a decent copper. For now I’d call it a burnt bronze. Good powder coat,.. just not what we’re looking for to complete this project.
