Wow, it just gets better and better. Truly amazing!!!!
Just an absolute amazing story all around. Amazing art, amazing characters, amazing story, dialog, the way the story is being told. All of it just works to keep me wanting to read and wanting to find out what happens on the next page or panel or volume. I can never seem to want to but this amazing collection down. This is my 1st experience with manga and I chose this all based on a YouTube video I accidentally watched because the title. And then the way it had such an impact in the video on this guy who got into manga cause his daughter, and then another video ranking bad guys from comics and manga and I remember the guy in the video saying GRIFFITH and then in this video ranking bad guys he was like 3 or 4th on this list of 10 and I said wait that sounds like the name of the guy in the video was mentioning but once I decided I was gonna maybe read it I didn't wanna finish his video incase of spoilers and then literally 2 days later this bad guy video happens to play and I said to myself maybe this BERSERK, is really worth reading. And I have been so happy I did.

casca backstory unlocked
Failed assassination attempts, & successful ones. This books starts off with the internal thoughts and battles of Griffith, Guts sees himself in another but ends up letting his reactions take blind action yet again. We then lean into Casca and her backstory. This feels like a turn for her and guts.

Great series
Wonderful series and worth the read. The character development, storytelling, and graphics truly make this a must read. Be wary though, this book is graphic and has some very violent scenes.

Griffith is a bastard man.
No wonder Casca mentally checked out after the Eclipse, Griffith meant as much to her as Eren did to Mikasa. Griffith’s heel-turn is all the more heinous when you realize he was a decent guy back in the day.

The Growth of Guts as a Man
For those who have seen the Berserk television series, very little of the manga so far released has been much of a surprise. This, by no means, is a slight against the original author's work, just a testament to how closely the anime's producers followed the rich story. Volume #6's events may already familiar to fans of the series, but just because they know what is going to happen, doesn't mean it loses its thrill. On the contrary, as I saw events beginning to converge on the climax I knew from the series, I began to get even more interested. The best episodes were those of the last half. The attempted assasination on Griffith, Guts' own assasination assignment, Griffith's courting of the Princess, and Casca's growing connection to Guts are all pivotal to the story. There's a particular scene in the final chapters of the book when Guts is forced to take some liberties in order to save Casca's life that awakens him to her vulnerabilities. In turn, Casca finds her own piece of mind by confiding in him why she joined the Band of the Hawk. Most of Guts' growth as a character is seen through action. The man isn't much of a thinker and understanding his quest for purpose (and, then, vengence) is dependent mainly on the reader's observations of the actions of Guts and those he cares for. To finally get some introspective thought from the man adds much to the overall picture of his life. All in all, a great book... a great series, but be prepared. In the next few volumes, things will come to a head. Men will die, characters you've grown to love may pay the ultimate price, and before one man can ascend to heights unimagined, great tragedy must befall him and those around him.

Got for my partner who loves anime and is a super fan! He loves the artwork and says theres alot of information in the comic that isn't in the berserk films. He says the comics are defiantly worth the buy, if your a fan of berserk. Says there also very quick reads, he read 3 in a day no problem.thats how much he loves it!

It just get’s worse and worse. If you’re like me, you saw the countless recommendations and it’s top rating on MAL. You also somehow managed to go through the first 5 volumes because everyone says that it gets better later on. Well, it hasn’t so far, and for some reason, Miura decided to depict a child getting abused? (I don’t think I need to specify anymore, if you read any of the other volumes, you’ll understand what I mean, given his art style.) I don’t even know if this is legal to own in my jurisdiction, so I’ll be returning it. Aside from that, something I’ve noticed on multiple other volumes, especially this one, is incorrect cropping of the images, I had to totally guess a piece of dialogue on many of the pages because it’s totally or half missing. Save yourself the trouble.
