Budget stick that truly holds it's own against the big boys.
I've been getting back into fighting games and I also play a lot of arcade games and Bullet Hell shooters on my PC so I thought an Arcade stick would be nice to have and mess around with. Of course I wasn't prepared to drop over $100 on one when I wasn't even sure if I'd like it. I had been eyeballing the Hori Fighting Stick Mini 4 for a while and have been wanting to pick one up but after Street Fighter V came out pretty much everyone sold out of them with no signs of when or if they might be back in stock. I saw the other Mayflash sticks like the V2 (the Ps2 and Ps3 compatible one) and the one that looks like it's modeled after the Hori Fighting Edge. The feedback on them though was pretty mixed though with some saying the Joystick was mounted rather loosely and the buttons rest on the PCB and are hard to swap out. Then I came across this one. I saw some pretty decent reviews and opinions on it and heard it was built way better and is easier to mod than the other sticks so I finally decided to check it out. This stick is excellent for it's price. I don't have a lot of experience with other sticks but I've played with my friends Mad Catz Tournament Edition and various sticks in the Arcade and this definitely holds it's own against other higher priced sticks. The stick isn't very big but it still has some heft so it'll stay in place but not so heavy that it's uncomfortable in your lap though there's only rubber feet and no cushion on the bottom. The stock buttons and joystick are nice and clicky and very responsive. I personally don't feel any need to change out the buttons or stick until they start to give out. I might change the square gate to an octagonal gate though. So far it works great with everything I've used it in. Street Fighter (II Turbo HD Remix, III Third Strike Online and IV Ultra), Guilty Gear (XX Accent Core Plus R and Xrd), Skullgirls, Metal Slug, Mushimesama, Samurai Shodown, Raiden Fighters, etc. I play on PC and PS3 mainly and the stick was plug and play for both. I use the Xinput on PC so it acts like an Xbox controller and the Dinput on PS3 and have had no issues. Being able to switch between DPad and Joystick is pretty great as it does respond differently in some games. I don't use the Turbo a lot but the fact that it's there is still a nice touch for when I do want to use it. As I said I haven't modded the stick at all but apparently this stick is incredibly easy to mod. The back of the stick just screws right off. The buttons all just snap in and out and the cables are all color coded. The Joystick though uses Microswitches rather than the 5 pin connector on say the Sanwa JLF or the Hori Hayabusa stick so if you want to change it to one of those you'll need an adapter of some kind. Frankly if you just wanted to buy this stick and add all your own parts to it you'd still be saving money compared to a Hori Rap or a Mad Catz TE. Overall if your on the market for a stick but aren't willing to take the plunge on the more high end sticks, this stick honestly holds up to it's more expensive competition at a much more affordable price.

An AMAZING budget arcade stick for first-timers and veterans alike
Having only had this arcade stick for a day, I'm still getting used to some of the finer points of use, but just off of that one day, I can safely say it's EXTREMELY solid for the money. The joystick and buttons are clicky and responsive, and the inclusion of an octagonal gate means that you have that as an option if you need the extra precision it provides. Nothing feels TOO horribly cheap, though I would suggest looking into replacing the buttons with higher grade parts sooner rather than later, as while they do feel GOOD, they also don't feel AMAZING. For those that want to do the button swap, or just mod the stick completely and remove all the stock Mayflash components, it's able to take Sanwa Denshi buttons right out of the box, and only needs you to purchase a 5-pin harness to swap out the joystick. As for system compatibility, this stick is so universally compatible out of the box, it's almost unbelievable. The only system so far that it seems to not work with out of the box is PS5, but Mayflash even offers a component to address that issue. All in all, between its low price point of $50-$70, performance, quality, and easy upgradability, I can very safely say that, if you're looking for your first arcade stick, or just a base for a weekend stick modding project, you cannot go wrong with the Mayflash F300.

Good stick for beginners, but instructions regarding older consoles need to be completely redone
This is my first arcade stick, and I'm extremely happy with it. Yes it's cheap, yes it's a "budget" stick, but for what you pay the quality is there. The buttons feel good, and the stick is solid and "click-y". It can be modded and the buttons/stick can be swapped out very easily, even for someone like me who's never done anything like that before. So far I've used it on PS4 and PC, I don't own Xbox One or the NeoGeo Mini so I can't speak to how well it works on those, and I don't have much of an interest in using it on my Android or my PS3 (currently in storage). The issue for me, however, has to do with the stick's compatibility on Xbox 360 and Switch. Just because the instructions say it's just "plug and play" for Switch and just "plug a wired Xbox 360 controller into the stick" for the 360, it doesn't REALLY mean that. For Switch compatibility, depending on what version of the stick you get (yes there are different versions, mine is the Rev. 1.3), you may need to go online to the Mayflash official site and download the firmware update onto the stick that allows Switch compatibility. As for XBox 360, the instructions fail to mention that it CANNOT be a controller that uses ANY kind of battery or optional wire/wireless function whatsoever. No chargeable battery pack, no battery case for wireless use, nothing like that. It MUST be a generic 360 controller with the cable HARDWIRED in for it to work with the stick, and even then if it's not an official Microsoft Xbox 360 controller, it still may not work. At that point, your best bet is to look for the Magicboots Xbox 360 dongle (which Mayflash also sells, how convenient), then and only then is the stick guaranteed to work on the 360. I know because I bit the bullet and purchased the dongle, and I've had no issues with the stick on my 360 since then. Final words: The stick works great, it's a pretty solid bang for your buck, it's easy to mod, but the folks at Mayflash really need to step their game up with regards to informing their customers on getting the stick to actually work on everything it's meant to be compatible with.

Wonderful product; wonderful value
This thing is SO COOL! I purchased one to use on the Evercade VS for the multiple arcade carts (especially the Neo Geo ones). Out of the box it's a great product, but I caved and purchased a Sanwa gate, I guess it controls better but I'm no expert. Evercade + Neo Geo + Mayflash F300 = true arcade experience at home (and on a budget!)

Lots of bang for your buck and easy to mod.
I bought this stick mainly to play fighting games on my PC. It works perfectly out of the box and with Steam's Configurator software makes it extremely customizable to play tons of different games that require only a few inputs. First of all, I wasn't happy with the square restrictor gate but that's standard for fight sticks, so I completely forgive that because this stick is very easy to take apart and mod. I bought an octagonal gate and fixed my main issue with the stick. Buttons are also set up to be easily replaced because it uses quick connectors that can be easily removed and reconnected to new buttons. The buttons don't feel that great, but that's what makes this stick the price that it is. Just purchase a set of Sanwa buttons as replacements and the stick is perfect! Continuing from what I said about using it as a Steam Controller, it's best to keep it in Direct Input mode and set up the controller layout in Steam. It then becomes really easy to customize the layout to whatever you see fit for whatever game you wish to play. It works fantastic for Pac-Man and Metal Slug using the default controls. It makes playing Crypt of the Necrodancer really fun by simply mapping the arrow keys to the stick and the arrow key combos (up+down, left+up, etc.) to the buttons. It makes it feel like the stick was made for that game! I also used this stick for Street Fighter V quite extensively against a friend who brought his Tournament Edition stick and we were very evenly matched! IMO, there's no need to pony up $150 or more when you can purchase this very affordable stick and simply replace the buttons and even the stick with Sanwa parts for cheap. The only negative can think of is if you're a console player you'll need to have a gamepad connected to the stick, but I don't have this problem at all as a PC-only player.

Great option for the price!
Not usually a reviewer but thought I'd throw out that this fight stick is great at first glance. I'm not a pro but it seems responsive and I was immediately able to hit Z moves with no stick experience and using the square gate that was already installed (supposedly it's easier on the included octagonal gate). I'll be using it for 6-button arcade fighters and any beat-em-ups or actual arcade games. + came with a USB female to USB-C male switch adapter (my other mayflash one also works as a usb converter for macbook pro so this probably does too) + came with an octagonal gate in case you want that instead + it has rubber pads out of the box to keep it stable without adding the included feet (which I tried at first but I didn't like the extra height) + build feels at least as sturdy as any other controller I have in this price range - the stick is very short. I knew that when I bought it, but it still surprised me. I'll get used to it or replace it if necessary. kind of a bummer because there's at least a 1/2" gap between the interior shield and the top panel which would have made a big difference if the same stick were just mounted closer to the surface. ? it seems to be very mod-able with a build that fits fancier brand name parts, but I have not done this yet. the construction seems very straightforward so it looks easy if I decide to do that. ? no idea if the board and components are actually durable yet

Affordable, multi-platform compatibility, low-quality parts and build quality
I purchased this for my girlfriend as she is new to fighting games. I wanted to get her an entry-level stick that would tide her over until we got her a higher end stick/got better parts for upgrades. My thoughts regarding this fight stick stock: + The stick is quite affordable + Multi-platform compatible + Pretty easy to upgrade the buttons + Potential to upgrade the joy stick - Base parts are pretty terrible. The buttons lack sensitivity and feel like mush. The stick lacks tension, is not very precise, and has a pretty long throw which exacerbates the lack of tension (it takes longer to perform an iWS in Tekken 7 for instance). - That having been said, the poor quality of these parts are more pronounced if you're used to Sanwa, Seimitsu, etc. If you're a casual player or haven't used those parts before, these might not be so bad. My girlfriend didn't really mind them as much as I did. - Stick is a pain to upgrade and will take significantly more work than upgrading buttons. - It is compatible with PS4, but it requires either directly connecting it to a PS4 controller (annoying for tournaments and in general) or switching to PS3 mode. - This does not have a touch pad so you might be lacking some options in training mode (Tekken 7 is another example). - If you're hoping to add artwork (I can't speak on adding plexiglass), there is a layer on the stick that you have to remove. When I did this, it left behind a fair bit of residue that can be a pain to clean. I gently sanded the residue off and the stick is matte black, but it's something to note. +/- This stick is significantly smaller than the old Madcatz TE sticks and the current HORI HRAPs. I found this to be a negative, but my girlfriend preferred it. The build quality feels cheap, but at this price point, I am not surprised. Final thoughts on the stick: if you're looking for a cheap stick or aren't picky about build quality, but want multi-platform compatibility, this stick is solid. If you're looking for a cheap chassis to upgrade, I would recommend you look up videos of how to swap out the stick. If you're willing to put in the effort to have a smaller form fight stick, this could be worth it. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

An absolute bargain in the current market
Bought this as my first stick that I can upgrade later with high quality parts. I'm currently just using the stock parts and it seems to perform pretty well. The joystick itself feels pretty good and has some nice auditory feedback, though the clicks are admittedly loud but I assume that's standard based on what I've seen from other sticks. The buttons seem pretty decent but also feel a little cheaper than the joystick to me. My buttons sometimes make squeak noises when I press them as they scrape against the plastic inside. I planned on replacing those first anyway so it doesn't bother me much. The stick has a nice weight to it and also rubber feet on the bottom so it doesn't slide around if you put it on a table. I've been using it on PC for SFV and it auto-detected it just fine, currently using the xinput setting. There doesn't seem to be any input delay that I can notice either or if there is it is negligible. In the current fight stick market, this stick is a steal. Sanwa stick + buttons will run you $40-50 extra dollars. Compare that price to any new stick on the market right now and its an absolute bargain. Even if you don't plan on upgrading it, it definitely still feels like a good deal. Overall this stick is much better than I expected and I'm very satisfied with my choice. I should mention also that I received Rev.1.1 (from Amazon) with the USB controller input near the USB cable. I like that Mayflash noticed a problem and remedied it. Edit as of March 19th, 2017: I've replaced the joystick and 6 buttons with Sanwa parts and I can with confidence say that the biggest improvement is actually replacing the joystick. The opposite of my original feelings. The buttons feel better but not by a large margin, still improved. The stick was a noticeable difference for me however. I always had a little trouble doing corner inputs with the stock joystick and that completely goes away with a Sanwa joystick. Sanwa joysticks are actually quieter as well, enough to notice it, but it's not going to allow covert middle of the night gameplay (at least with a standard one).

This is insane, you can play in ps4, phone whatever. It is easly to connect it. Cable is also long enough to play from sofa. Shipping was fast, so i'm really glad about it.

Nintendo Switch Review
Came in on the exact day it said it would. Everything working fine. No issues. Used it on the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection on the Nintendo Switch and there is no delay. Great arcade stick.
