A very useful and handy item to have on hand
I thought I was completely out of this size of lock nut. I was glad to find them at a time when I need some to fit a replacement mailbox out front. As I opened the storage box of locknuts, I discovered that I already had some of this size, it was a smaller size that I am in short supply. Not to worry, I need twice as many now because we will have two mailboxes instead of just one. Both are mounted the same way and both mounting brackets are identical. My grandfather always said that the guy with the biggest collection of screws, nuts and bolts at the end is the winner. I'm doing my best at carrying on the legacy.

works well. Remember it is best not to mix stainless steel with non-stainless, or other metals, especially with nuts and bolts. They may self weld together over time.
