My speakers would cry coarse from the audio signal received through the bluerigger splitter. The source of single was very expensive 4k TV from LG and Sony. So no question on the quality of signal from source. Then I researched on internet and found that a active(externally powered) splitter would do the trick. I searched on desertcart and found that Musesonic splitter which was active and had good user reviews. I bought that and it is working fine since the last three months. I can get sound out from my TV and two different speaker set at the same time for a cinematic sound experience. So if you want to give audio optical signal to two different speaker from a common source, this active splitter will do the trick. And yes it can be USB powered. It can be USB of your TV or speakers. I power it through speaker USB and it is working fine. So if this passive splitter is not able to give good sound output at speakers, go for any active externally powered splitter. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works well but highly overpriced !! *by N***E on 3 February 2022* I have been using HDMI and other cables from BlueRigger for a while and I was looking for a digital cable splitter to connect TV (Toss Link) with 2 Echo Studio speakers (Mini Toslink) and it was no brainer to go for Bluerigger based on my prior experience. The splitter quality is well built and sturdy. The data transfer quality is good as well. I get Dolby Digital audio Output when TV is connected to Echo Studio using this splitter paired with Bluerigger toslink to mini toslink cable.
