The mass of its wheel gives it tremendous spend time and great stability. Like all open caged gyroscopes this is prone to damage if dropped on a hard surface. I do not let my young grandchildren play with this because they do not have the dexterity needed to prevent dropping it. I use this and my other open gyroscopes on a plate. I don’t start the gyroscope very high above the plate so if it’s dropped, it doesn’t fall very far. When it lands on the plate, it usually keeps spinning and one can pick it up and set it back on its stand or other objects such as a pencil tip or a taught string. I like this gyroscope a lot! Review: Fun and educational - I got this as a gift for my son, who was studying physics in college. It has a nice weight to it and seems well made. There is no assembly required. There is a small learning curve when wrapping and pulling the string, but once you get the hang of it, it is easy to get a good spin. I don’t know what functional purpose it serves, but it was fun! ## Features - ★DURABLE, STRONG, SURVIVE MUCH LONGER: We REDESIGNED its key parts. Compare to other gyroscopes, ours can survive much longer: thus you don't have to comfort a crying/disappointed child just after one day or even one hour. Video attached which contains some experiments show this great advantage of our product clearly. Meaning of those experiments is: if it can survive 15 feet drop, it can survive 5 feet (In most cases when drop the height will be around 4-5 feet) easily. - ★PAY MORE TO GET MUCH BETTER GAMING EXPERIENCE: We do believe that our DG-5PRO can provide much better gaming experience since several important improvements were made to make it more reasonably structured, much sturdier, with bigger and thicker frame (can be held tightly when pulling the thread, thus get higher initial speed), heavier and to make its rotor spins longer by using ball bearings. Is this worth the 20 or even 40 more bucks you paid? You decide it. - ★GREAT TIME KILLER: It can magically stand on almost any places: fingertip, tip of a pencil or a thread. Is truly addictive. Our product is much more robust than any other traditional gyroscopes on the market, will survive when drop from high places to hard ground (which always happens). It's great for adults too: whenever you want to start or end a conversation, this one is a very good choice. - ★WHY CHOOSE US?!: This product is a well-designed and crafted mechanical toy, a fantastic gift for people you love. Many people bought our gyroscopes as gift to families, teachers, friends and seldom will it fail to cheer them up! DjuiinoStar has gained very good reputation on desertcart since 2018. We hope you will like it and we do hope you will think it worth the money invested. And we stand behind it to guarantee that. - ★Initial speed of the rotor is around 8000 rpm. Personally I like to hold it in hand to feel its power when I was bored. Can't say it's the best gyroscope available, but when take the price into consideration, this is the best one. - ★★★★★IMPORTANT NOTE: SLIGHT VIBRATION IS NORMAL ESPECIALLY WHEN IT JUST START BECAUSE THE INITIAL SPEED IS TOO HIGH. PLEASE AWARE OF THIS BEFORE PLACING ORDER.★★★★★ ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B08866VXNV | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #123,351 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #1,108 in Educational Science Kits | | Brand Name | DjuiinoStar | | Color | Gold | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 472 Reviews | | Item Dimensions | 2.44 x 2.8 x 3.46 inches | | Item Dimensions W x H | 2.44"W x 3.46"H | | Item Weight | 2.6 ounces | | Manufacturer | DjuiinoStar | | Manufacturer Part Number | DG-5PRO-01 | | Manufacturer recommended age | 15 years and up | | Material Type | Stainless Steel | | Model Number | DG-5PRO-01 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Size | 2.44x2.44x3.46inch | | Theme | Fantasy | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Images ![Heavy Duty Gyroscope - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71rKGCuxBjL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What is an average spin time?** A: 2 to 3 minutes **Q: My gyro scope squeeks and doesnt spin long. im no professional but mine is a lemon for a lack of a better word can u send me a new one please** A: Mine makes noises too and balances for 2 to 3 minutes, that's normal operation. This is a toy gyroscope, not a scientific instrument gyroscope. scientific instrument gyroscopes can balance for like 10 minutes and longer, but they are not toys. If you drop either kind of gyroscope it could introduce a vibration that makes it balance for less time. **Q: Is it supposed to be so noisy?** A: Mine was not particularly noisy. **Q: Where is this product made? are the instructions clear? tia** A: There are two holes on the wheel, put the string through ONE of the holes, hold your gyroscope side ways, and let the ring fall and create tension with the string that went through the hole (don't forget to hold the string at the other end). With the gyroscope sideways, and the ring dangling, use both hands to roll up the gyroscope; make sure it rolls up near the big wheel of the gyroscope, and not near the cage or you risk breaking it. Once it winds up, pull the string. The result is that the inner wheel is spinning, make it stand on the metal pointy legs as is, or you can put it on the metal base they provided. If the string gets frayed at the end, try melting some candle wax and dip the frayed end to keep it together (only the tip of the frayed end). Otherwise you can try cutting the string. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not a toy for a child *by P***R on January 2, 2025* This is a great gyroscope! A little pricey but overall works great. The only thing is putting the winding string in the hole. It isn't as easy as it looks in the video. But with a little practice seems to be doing better now. I would recommend this gyroscope as a gift because it is very nice. Has nice weight to it and spins a long. I would give it 4 stars overall. ## Frequently Bought Together - DjuiinoStar Heavy Duty Gyroscope (Solid Stainless Steel Rotor): Initial Speed 8,000 RPM, Sturdy and Stable; Provides Very Good Gaming Experience; High-End Office Toy, Addictive Science Gear DG-5PRO-01 - Toysmith Euler’s Disk – Create A Hypnotic Display of Light & Sound- Science Desk Decor for Home and Office – Physics Toys for Adults & Kids 8+ --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.id/products/220006624-heavy-duty-gyroscope](https://www.desertcart.id/products/220006624-heavy-duty-gyroscope) --- *Product available on Desertcart Indonesia* *Store origin: ID* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
