Really Good Shoe, Not Great Durability
I work in a restaurant. I originally got them because they are anti-slip but also look almost like an exact analogue for my black Converse high tops and I have had 2 pairs in about 15-16 months. They do exactly what you expect and want these types of shoes to do and they clean very well. The problem is they start to tear at the heel right along the edge there the canvas meets the rubber (the same tear spot on both pairs) which youโll most likely notice the first time you get splashed at work or step into a puddle outside and water leaks in the tear. The supportiveness of the inner sole lasts about 6 months before you start to notice the especially achy feet after a shift and the next day. 6 months is not very good and I get at least twice as long out of converse chuck high tops, which are within 5 dollars of one another and itโs unusual for a shoe to have the rubber sole outlast whatโs supposed to be a rugged canvas. This is definitely something the company could address in the construction of the shoe.Overall, if youโre looking for a more casual non-slip shoe that isnโt a sneaker or clogs or some of the other types that look like abominations and 60-70 dollars is your price point, itโs a shoe worth considering. If the company addressed the durability issue, these would be amazing. I donโt think itโs too much to ask for a shoe designed specifically for more hostile environments to not fall apart every 6 months.

better than converse imo
I got these to replace a pair of converse Iโd had that wore out (holes in the sole, fraying along the seams) after only 6mo of daily wear. These seem to be much better quality so far. I got them a few months ago, and right off the bat they were much more comfortable than converse, and even with daily wear, they hardly look any different from when i first pulled them out of the box.I work in a warehouse environment and walk about a mile to and from work everyday, so i get thatโs a bit much to put a pair of skate shoes through, but these have held up nevertheless ๐ช๐ช

want to like these, but they're poorly constructed
I really wanna like these, but I've bought 3 different pairs of shoes from this brand, 2 of the canvas version of this shoe, and then the leather version. every one of these shoes have fallen apart within 6 months of use, usually similarly to how they are pictured. the toe also comes as you can see in the picture.I'm a manager at a fast food chain, I'm on my feet walking in these shoes for usually over 50 hours a week. Walmart shoes that run me $20-30 last me 2 years before completing falling apart. my vans which run a similar price to these have literally lasted me nearly a decade now with minor damage.these are slip resistant and once broken in feel good to wear. it looks like it may have torn at the seam where the top of the shoe meets the rubber sole, and whatever lining is on the inside. I wish it was fleeced all the way to the bottom of the shoe at least, or something to give a bit better of construction. the toes flapping up is only a minor issue as of right now.the canvas version of these shoes are not at all water resistant which is to kinda be expected but is also kinda disappointing considering this is apparently for restaurant use. I don't know what restaurant isn't dealing with a spill at some point. the leather are a lot better, due to the material chosen, but water will still slip in the tongue and eyelets if you're not careful. and of course this extends to hot chicken grease lol.I love the style of this shoe for work but I just really wish it lasted at least a year, especially considering the price.

Bearing Sea Approved
I've been wearing shoes for crews for close to 20 years now. Love them. By FAR the best traction and true non slip in the game. I currently work in the galley on a commercial fishing vessel in Alaska. These are THE ONLY shoes I can wear in that galley that i dont slip n slide and fall on me behind when that boat is literally sideways and I'm walking on the walls (not really but pretty dang close) I can seriously run in a wet galley downhill in these. They're amazing grip. Butttt they only last me one season, if that. Granted we work 14 hours a day, 4 months straight without a day off. So they're bound to give out but id think they last at least 6 months for the price. This is first time trying the leather pair, which should be even better because I'm constantly spilling nasties all over them and the canvas ones smelled quite horrid after a season. I tossed um. Anyways I buy these sole-y (pun intended) for the NON SLIP SOLES! ITS INCREDIBLE. If you need them for longevity and don't really need the non slip part than I'd go with some sketcher or something for sure.
