Catholic Prayer Book for Children

Has all the Catholic prayers a young child should learn and know!

I almost never take the time to write a review. I am a Mom of two always looking for resources to keep an emphasis on the imporantce of having a relationship with God. I didn't realize until I was older (married and a Mom) how grateful i was of the faith my parents rasied me with. I now want to pass on the same to my children. This book is fantastic. I have a Kindergartener who loves sitting and reading the prayers. We take it to mass on weekends and she reads thru it when she can't keep up with portions of the mass (being as little as she is). I have had people stop me at mass and ask about the book as they can see over my daughters shoulder and ask where they can get a copy. The prayers are great for everyone, not just kids. They deal with all moonents in life from school, sickness, forgiveness, special holidays, praising saints, etc. It includes all the major standard Catholic prayers, Beatitudes and the Ten Commandments. I have bought a ton of books for my kids on prayers, devotionals and bible stories.....this is by far the best. Highly, highly recommended!! If you buy one....buy 3 and share with others as gifts.

These are great for young kids. Easy to read and understand the prayers.

I am teaching the 2nd grade First Communion class at our church this year. I purchased this little book to go with the curriculum that is by the same company. Something the children could take home and USE. Bring back and USE during class time. 1) this is the lowest price point I have found anywhere for this particular book 2) it corresponds perfectly with the lessons set up in "Alive in Christ" by OSV 3) the children adore it! (most important because that means they will USE IT!) This would be a Terrific resource for both first and second graders.

This book was given as a 1st Communion Gift. It was the perfect addition to other gifts that were given as well. It was thinner than expected, so I'm glad it wasn't the only thing given, but it was appreciated by the recipient and family.

Bought this for a baptism gift. Has all the “standard” or “classic” prayers and cute art. Like it a lot!

Nice little soft covered booklet. Has pictures, some simple prayers, the ten commandments, the stations of the cross and more. For the price you can't do better.

Wanted to introduce my 2.5 year old son to Bible stories. I was, admittedly, a little turned off by the illustrations, but I decided to purchase it anyway. It's a favorite for my son, who wanted to read it exclusively for the first few weeks we had it. He still regularly references stories in it and enjoys looking through it on his own. Content is solid. It's a great introduction to the Bible with short, easily digestible stories and discussable content. Very pleased with this purchase.

I purchased this book for my son so that he could start saying his morning and night prayers by himself. It has the basic Catholic prayers in traditional form as I learned them when I was a child (Our Father, Hail Mary, Apostle's Creed, Nicene Creed, Hail Holy Queen, etc.), morning prayers, evening prayers, blessing at meals and instructions on how to pray the Rosary with Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious and Luminous mysteries. It also has prayers to Saint Anthony, Saint Joseph, Breastplate of Saint Patrick and others. Additionally, it lists the Beatitudes, Stations of the Cross and Acts of Faith, Love and Hope. There were also more modern prayers, such as a prayer to start a day at school and a revised version of "now I lay me down to sleep".

Prayers are just like the ones I learned as a little girl more than 35 years ago! Easy teaching guide for Catholic parents and simple enough for a child to learn on his/her own. A good book. I bought it as a gift for a child making his First Holy Communion.
