The simplicity of the design of the SC-P900 is matched only by its simplicity of use. It features a customizable user interface, internal lighting, an optional rolling paper unit, an automatic Beaux-Arts paper feeder, an easy-to-set media profile, smart device printing functionality and the new F10 printhead so you don't have to change black ink (for 10 colors). Additional maintenance kit. The ink supplied with your printer is used during initial start-up. To produce high-quality prints, the printer must be fully filled with ink. Once start-up is complete, the service life of the cartridges and maintenance kit is limited. That's why we provide you with an additional maintenance kit for extra comfort. Even if ink levels are low, or the maintenance kit reaches the end of its useful life, you can continue printing until the cartridge replacement warning appears. Imprimante lente, ne pas utiliser pour des documents de tout les jours.Qualité d'impression très honorable pour les graphistes, " artistes"...Accepte le grammage 280grÀ l'horizontale j'ai aussi tester 300gr.Par contre, les cartouches sont une VÉRITABLE ARNAQUE, compter 50 % du prix de l'imprimante pour un "jeu" complet ;(A vous de voir....

Hormis un petit hommage à Michel Berger pour le titre, cette nouvelle imprimante Epson SC-P900 vient à point nommé, car depuis près d'un an j'hésitais entre la Canon PRO 1000, Epson P800 ou P600.Impossible de me décider. J'ai a plusieurs reprises voulu acheter la Canon, et a chaque fois la vente ne s'est pas faite. Surement que c'était le signe qu'il fallait que j'attende encore un peu.Et je dis donc merci a tous ces évènements qui ont empêché l'achat.Cette SC-P900 vient (je pense) prendre la tête du podium et place la Canon Imageprograf 1000 à la 2ème place, dans cette gamme d'imprimantes jet d'encre au format A2. L'Epson permet de produire du A2+ (50 * 70 cm) FineArt, ce qui est déjà énorme en soit pour une activité de photographie professionnelle et autonome.Elle permet de passer du noir mat au noir brillant sans passer par la case purge, gourmande en encre, ce que ne permettent pas les P800, P600 et P400.Sur le papier, il est dit qu'elle améliore considérablement les tirages couleur et en noir & blanc.Dans la réalité, le respect des couleurs, la précision, le réalisme et les détails sont bluffants.Du très bon en tous points !Sur papier brillant, les tirages noir et blanc sont vraiment neutres, même avec les profils ICC génériques.Sur papier brillant, la qualité "noir carbone" apporte un réel plus aux tirages, avec une profondeur des noirs exceptionnelle.Sur papier mat, les noirs profonds les plus profonds (la Dmax) sont également améliorés .Les résultats sur papiers Ilford Galerie Prestige Smooth Pearl, Hahnemühle Matt Fine Art, Photo Rag, Glossy Fine Art, Finart Art Baryta Satin, Photo Rag Baryta ou Satin, sont purement sensationnels !Même les papiers photos Agfa, Epson ou HP que j'avais en réserve depuis de nombreuses années, aussi basiques soient-ils, reprennent vie et donnes des résultats remarquables!Sur le plan du design, elle fait 20 kg de moins que la Canon Pro 1000, ce qui a été aussi un argument de poids en sa faveur. Et à l'impression, elle reste en place, très stable, elle ne vacille pas d'un millimètre !!!L'encombrement et le poids sont également réduits par rapport à la génération précédente, avec un écran tactile pratique, super pratique, réactif et complet.Le point négatif, c'est les cartouches.Elles ont une contenance de 50 ml alors que les précédentes versions en avait 80ml, influant directement sur le coût du ml. Sans compter que les cartouches livrées d'origine ont une contenance diminuée, sachant que la moitié sert à alimenter le circuit interne, et ne servent qu'à l'impression de quelques tirages d'essai en A4. Ce rapport qualité/prix pour démarrer est donc plutôt très moyen.Et aucune solution n'est proposée par Epson pour une alimentation externe et continue des cartouches, ou d'une solution Ecotank, comme employée sur d'autre série d'imprimante.Dommage !Je ne lui retire pas d'étoile pour autant, car pour le reste, c'est une machine fantastique en plus d'être un outil fantastique !Et comme le disais Jean-Yves Lafesse : Pourvu que ça dure !
