My new favorite tool!
I really enjoy using this thing. It feels very high quality. I've put it through the paces and had no issues as the other reviewers have had. I sharpen it regularly. I checked out some other types that were either plastic handle (just doesn't feel the same!) or crazy expensive (Council Tool). This the perfect value. Counci Tool seems to have come down in price a bit and has a 3.75 lb version. One of the best features: it doubles as a walking stick! Kinda like an ice axe for mountaineering, this is a tool for foresters. If I'm going out in the forest to do some recon (for surveying for example) this is the go-to tool. Walk, chop, dig.

Quality hand tool
Solid quality tool. I'm a retired firefighter of 33 years. A Pulaski was always my favorite wildland fire tool, so when it came to manging the jungle on my Kauai property, this tool was the right choice for cutting brush and grubbing the duff. Tool is well built with a nice hardwood handle ( I sanded off the smooth finish for better grip) the tool head is mounted solid and holds a nice edge when sharpened. If you're in the market, this one won't dissapoint.

Fire axe.
Excellent axe head. Hickory wood handle sloppily mounted at the neck. I will sand out the clunky mount-work. Still, a sturdy tool.

Right tool for the job
Ok have a fenceline with decade old volunteer trees, mostly overgrown privot and the only way to prevent them from suckering back is to tear out the root ball. The pulaski takes that job from hours to minutes vs a shovel and mattock. As far as build goes this isn't fancy. The blade and handle are mostly unfinished. No polish to the blade and the handle is dry wood. Bit the blade is for grubbing in the dirt and rocks so you don't need or want a highly honeable edge, and the handle easily accepted a treatment of boiled linseed oil (blo) to help shed dirt. I probably wouldn't try to use one on a fire crew, but it's a very serviceable tool. Would be nice to get an economical nylon blade cover to go with it.

Wasn’t Happy
Used twice and the handle broke at the ax head. Ver brittle. I was one day outside the 30 day window and asked for a replacement but no reply which I understand 30 is 30. Would have made me happy if they sent me a new handle but did not. It’s $65 otherwise I would have just chalked to up to a cheap tool. It’s a lot of money for an axe. It shouldn’t have failed on second use. I didn’t hit anything with the handle.

I'd expect this from wish.com
Just got mine in today. Opened it and was questioning what on earth I got shipped. To be fair it does look like the same axe head. But it looks very used. Someone definitely spray painted the head. It also looks rehandled. It has a very marred up handle that doesn't have the original branding on it whatsoever. Pretty dissatisfied. I don't know why I paid full price for this.

needed this axe to fulfill an order for a firefighter… and this is what shows up. Really UNACCEPTABLE to be sent a used piece of garbage for 100$. DIDNT EVEN COME WITH BLADE GAURDS.

En base al costo del producto la calidad es buena, tenia dudas de si soportaría el uso rudo y hasta el momento no a fallado ni perdido filo.
