So, i’m an artist and i resin my paintings. is this technically a resin/epoxy in a spray can? could i possibly use this on my paintings?

Yes it works well. I also do paintings (abstract) and used 2 part resin. The spray Max is just as good and durable. The draw back is, is once you puncture the internal can inside the main can, you only have about 48 hours to use. So you have to make sure you have a few paintings ready to go and coat them all at the same time. Also, purchase a respirator. Harbor freight has them for Les than $20. You get quite a few uses from them, then just throw away and purchase a new one. The vapors in the 2 part spray Max are not good to be inhaling. Outside is fine, but in a enclosed area is not good unless you wear a respirator.

Has anyone used this to cover Duplicolor lacquer spray paint? If so, how long did you wait to apply to the Duplicolor base coat?

Yes. Go on YouTube and look up a video from Paint Society where he is using the 2K finish, and he will have the best examples for you to see. I know for a fact that it works very well when it is done right, and the best way is when you spray your last coat of duplicolor, you have to spray a very light coat of the 2K finish into it before it dries completely. This gives you something for the 2K finish to properly bond to, and it will not peal like if you sprayed it directly over dry lacquer.

How long after applying this can I colorsand and polish?

Same as any other clear. Obviously depends on air temp/humidity etc. Also, the longer it dries, the harder it is, so hard to cut

Can I use this to seal any enamel paint on a car or should I be using a specific paint under it?

Hi, i have bought a manufacturer number spray paint, ordered online for 2 coats on the car hood and then spray max 2k 2 coats, but my friend he bought from autozone spray paint and then use spray max, i think it can be use but the surface of paint should be very clean before use it, i did it last summer and it still good (but car paint has specfic quality too)
