Great heater
Received the heater in short time from ordering, very happy with it installed, converted to propane, set the gas pressure, checked for leaks, fired it up to burn off oils. It does not have a pilot burner, happy to see that, lights straight off the inshot burner no more having to clean pilot orifice every fall. My last heater cost more for parts to get it up and running than this heater cost new, no brainer. Good heater for the money should last for years . PS. When I was working I was an installer for a propane company, just saying.

Perfect for my shop
I have installed this in my 37' X 27' building with 18' tall ceilings, and it works great. I am in southern PA and keep the building at 40 through the winter just to keep everything from freezing. When I want to go out to the building to do some work, I use the Wi-Fi thermostat that I have connected to it and bump it up to 60 and 15 mins later the building is really comfortable. I would suggest having some wall mounted fans to help push the warm air down if you're using this in a tall building like I am. The unit is really quiet, to the point people don't even know it is running. it was also very easy to install. you will need one person to hold it while another secures it if you don't have a way to block it up.

Fires up and keeps the shop comfortable.
Just installed the 80k btu furnace, so far so good. One thing I noticed right away was the primary fan is not balanced and creates a minor vibration. The unit is fairly quite and works well. Installed in a 2400 sqft insulated shop and can easily maintain 60F.

Great Value And Well Constructed
I bought this heater mostly because Northern Tool had them on sale at a great price with free shipping. So yeah, I'm cheap. I like a bargain. I was pleasantly surprised when the heater arrived and I saw the quality of the overall construction. I was afraid with a cheap price I would receive a cheap heater. I am however beyond happy with it. It is a great product and is built like a tank. ( Which is a good thing... read the last part of my review.) The installation was painless and easy and I converted the unit to Propane from the original Natural gas. The propane kit was easy to install with clear and concise instructions on how to do the conversion. This heater is heating a 24 X 36 shop with R-13 insulation and twelve foot ceiling height. So far it has not shown itself to be a gas hog like others have described it. It has been down to ten degrees at night and the heater maintained the forty degree setting with ease and not much fuel use. The only issue I had was with the shipper and not the product or with Northern Tool. I hate pointing fingers but the shipper had beat my heater up to the point where it looked like it had been delivered by airplane and dropped from about a thousand feet! It is a good thing the heater is constructed as well as it is because otherwise it would have been useless! It is a real testimony of how well the unit is constructed because I was able to make repairs and straighten all of the damage. Then after a close inspection of the vital components we fired it up. So far I highly recommend this product and the Mr. Heater brand.

Works well when it works
This is my second Mr Heater, I have a 50 btu unit as well. The 50k worked for 3 weeks before it stopped working and this one worked for about 1 minute. I fired it up and it worked perfectly. T'he next day the fan would not kick on. Have already been on the phone on hold for about 45 min before leaving a call back number. They will call back, ask me some questions, then say they are sending out a new circuit board, which is what my other one needed also. I'm being generous by giving them a 3 star review, but i'm keeping in mind the cost of the unit which is a really good value. I really like the heater, I just don't know if i can depend on it. Every time i've been on hold with them the recording says they are receiving unusually heavy call volume. Since they clearly know they are selling an unreliable product, it would be nice if they would hire more service tech advisors. I probably spent 3-4 hours with my other heater between time on hold, diagnostic time and actually replacing the circuit board. If you don't like working on stuff you might want to look at a different brand. If you do decide to purchase one just plan on doing your own diagnostics and repairs. Update 1/29/2020- Have been on the phone 3 times doing diagnostics on this heater. It is working but the problem now is that it cycles on and off about every 30 seconds to 2 minutes. I have been asked to checked the voltages in and out of the circuit board and check the pressures sn column of water. The last guy had me disconnect the pressue switch and bypass it. The heater ran for several minutes while he stayed on the phone so he sent me out a new switch. I installed it and it is still cycling. Back on the phone for the long hold and unusual call volume. They called back after a couple of hours and said they were sending me a new control board. 3/25/2020 Installed new control board. Heater still cycles on and off. I'm not getting back on the phone with this company again. Still heats my shop, just not nearly as efficiently as it should. Not very happy overall. Paid new price for a brand new heater and Ive wasted hours of my time for something that has never worked properly and never will.

Awesome little heater, even on propane!
Hung this in my 1300sqft shop. I have it hooked up to a nest thermostat. It works great. This was a replacement for a very old Reznor 75k BTU. I am running this on propane and it heats much faster than my old Reznor. The fan is quiet.

Can’t bet it for small appliances
Best bang for the buck, hands down. Installed this in our three car garage and couldn’t be happier with it. It definitely does the job. Unit only pulls 2.5 amps at 120v. I Just plugged it into one my outlets in garage with an extension cord and it’s been heating ever since. The hardest part of the install was the gas pipe, as I had to hand thread the pipe for my application. (I believe Home Depot or Lowe’s can do it for you) You also need a thermostat. I used a basic white Roger’s dry contacts and used 18/2 thermostat wire.
