Best in bolt action pens.
This refill works perfectly if you have a bolt action pen. I made the mistake of using the ballpoint refills but they don't work as well with bolt action.

Bought when I got bastion pen. Pen nice refills not so much. Both lasted about a month. Just purchased off name brand 6 for the price of these two. Writes better will see how long they last.

Love me a good Caran d'Ache pen. My dad buys the limited editions pens throughout the year and gifts them to family. I have several of them and needed black ink for work (rather than the blue they come with). No scratching or smudging. Comfortable writing.
