This tool will help to easily remove your snap ring safely. It will not fit small snap rings unless you make them adapt but works great on larger ones. Very sturdy and will last a long time.

The device works well and makes changing out large 1.5”, 2”, 2.5” very easy to remove and install. I have not used it on larger clips yet. A decent tool that works as stated.

For an internal snap ring that is possibly an inch or 2 inside a hub assy or tube it works awesome!! For the gentleman that had a very bad experience maybe you need to learn how to use some tools safely!! Put the correct size tips on the tool, make sure the tips are set and aligned as you tighten the clamp {keep the tips straight- parallel 90 degrees} to the snap ring {THE TIPS} not the tool-- the snap ring will come out easily! Same on install-- set the snap ring on top of work piece, align and set tips in snap ring, tighten.. {I set the snap ring on top of hub- held flat with a leather glove- tightened- when ring was compressed enough it slid right in- released tool} BEST TOOL I HAVE EVER USED TO REMOVE AND REPLACE A LARGE 3 1/2" INTERNAL SNAP RING SAFELY!! No straight tips in the kit, all had a degree in them but worked flawlessly!!

I had a 3” snap ring to remove on my tractor axle and this tool was the ticket! It is built sturdy and removed the snap ring easily! It also made reinstalling it super easy. This is really a high quality tool!

Tool seems well made and worked well removing an extremely heavy internal snap ring. Used the copper tips, largest included, and set the tool with the snap ring still compressed on the bench. Got back to it a few minutes later and one of the tips had broken. Found the snap ring, didn’t find the broken tip, no injuries but the potential was there. Changed the tips and reinstalled the snap ring with no problem. Suspect the problem might be in the hardening of the tip. Contacted the seller immediately and after several emails, complicated by poor internet signal on my end, the seller advised me to contact the manufacturer. Don’t expect any problems there.

I had to take off a 6" snap ring, my 12" long snap on pliers could not take it off, this took it right off. Very good unit, I wish I would of bought it sooner

The tool has various tips sizes and angles that can be installed to fit different circlip hole sizes and installation orientations. There is a hex shape cutout in the tool where the tips engage which positively prevents unwanted rotation when the 90deg tips are used. A set screw then clamps down to secure the tip and to control the depth of the tips. A very robust design. i used this tool to remove/install/adjust a large XONA rotor turbo compressor cover. My large Snapon circlip pliers were an utter failure in comparison. Easy to use, very well made and highly recommend for this application!

I got this to install a 185mm (a little larger than 7") x 4mm internal circlip. Pushing the tommy bar as hard as you would like to, it had no problem compressing it fully. As opposed to pliers, you don't have the distraction of compressing the circlip while installing, which appreciated greatly. I tried it out on some smaller circlips and it seemed to work fine at 1.5". Probably would be good for a bit less than that even. Removing is the same as any other set of pliers: if you're removing from a flush surface you'll need a knife or screwdriver to push the circlip into the tongs a bit or it'll just snap out.

Well constructed carry case. Easy to handle.

Poor quality when it fell to bits. Unfortunately I only used it once and it was much later the. When I bought it so couldn’t send it back. Avoid at all cost.
