My three year old daughter has named it Mr. Peddlecat. For the price and my living space Mr. Peddlecat is great! My living space is kinda smallish, we have laminate flooring in the living room, bathroom and kitchen which is where I mainly use it. For that space it works quite well and does make life with a toddler and a dog quite a bit easier. Mr. Peddlecat does need a babysitter much of the time. He'll need a little push when he gets stuck in a corner or on a floor vent, but after that he goes about his business and does a great job. This vacuum is completely useless on rugs! It will do nothing on a rug, even an extremely low rug, nothing. Not a huge issue here, because we only have a couple of small rugs. The things that turn on the bottom to pull dirt and crumbs into the vacuum get hair tangled in them somewhat regularly. Not sure if that's less of an issue with other families as the three of us all have really long hair. For the price, mr. Peddlecat does well, but if you have more to spend get a better robotic vacuum. It's not the smartest and completely useless on rugs or carpet. It also does not do excellent with pet hair, although it does pick up most. However, if you are like me and have a small budget and mostly hard floors, this is great.
