I want to use it for a mini split install and there are a few issues with it. First there is no flat rectangular side as shown in the listing pictures, both ends are round with a lip on them. As you might imagine that represents an issue since the mini split unit needs to be flush against the wall and the lip will not allow that to happen. A flat side (as shown in the pictures in the listing) on the other hand would. Then there is the minimum length of this. I can't find it anywhere in the original listing but in a standard 2x4 construction this item will not work as it states on the packaging that it works for 6-12 inches. Then there are the installation instructions, it says for cement construction cut a 5 inch hole. The diameter of the connecting tube is 3 inches, and the outside tube is 5 inches, so if you cut a hole 5 inches then the larger outer tube will slide through it will be difficult to seal. The picture in the original listing shows the outer tube sitting on the outside of the wall which makes much more sense since this would allow you to seal it properly.
