So the DJI Ronin SC is my main gimbal rig because most of the projects I work on require very quick setup and portability. The Ronin SC is especially helpful because of it's lightweight design. However, sometimes I wish I could extend the gimbal horizontally or vertically for dynamic boom shots. This is where the carbon fiber rod comes in. So here's what I like. The rod is extremely lightweight even though it extends the rig by about 14 inches. The carbon fiber handle is also surprisingly very strong. I have full confidence that it can easily hold a significant amount of weight from a mirrorless Fuji XT3 to a larger Canon DSLR. Since the width matches with the Ronin SC handle and tripod legs, it matches seamlessly like a genuine OEM part. As far as portability, it isn't super long like a typical monopod which means it's easy to throw inside of a camera bag. Having the extra 14" allows you to create more sweeping booming shots and get much higher or lower without having to over extend your body. And if you wanted to convert the rig to a portable, handheld monopod, simply mount your camera on the 1-4/20" mount and add the Ronin SC tripod legs on the bottom. If your looking for a high quality, affordable accessory for your one handed gimbal, this carbon fiber rod is a solid recommend.

Bought this for my Ronin RSC2. It is great! Very sturdy, perfect size, compatible with everything. Has more uses than just gimbals. Make sure that the little screw converter in the bottom doesn't come out. Highly recommend - makes more creative shots possible and smoother than ever! 10/10, worth your money.

I was expecting the rod to be heavier but it's light... The extension is a great way to get higher angle shots on a gimbal. It's definitely a must have in your gear.

Telescopes easily, well made. With my gimbal and iPhone it does get a little top heavy and if you’re in the wind it will blow over. A small sandbag or tent stake should keep things stable.

It’s just a extender it didn’t really clearly state what it really was at first it says it was a gimbal that telescopes then they changed it to just a attachment this was so misleading so I returned it

Ottimo prodotto, ben realizzato, leggerissimo e sembra anche resistente. Lo utilizzo come prolunga sul mio DJI Ronin SC2 e direi che è un accessorio quasi indispensabile. Migliora notevolmente la stabilità, riduce la fatica e permette delle riprese che senza sarebbero un po' improbabili. Durante l'utilizzo nelle riprese non se ne farebbe a meno, ma quando ci si ferma per una pausa o per rilassarsi un attimo braccia e schiena, e si appoggia il Ronin in terra o su un tavolo sul treppiede, il braccio è davvero lungo e la fotocamera rimane sospesa in aria facendoti vivere attimi di terrore. Se dovesse venire giù tutto, cosa molto probabile, sarebbe un danno notevole. Una versione allungabile potrebbe essere il giusto compromesso sia durante l'utilizzo che nelle pause. Comunque ottimo prodotto.

Item as described. Wanted to use to extend a monopod with this between the monopod and a ball head. This makes sure I get camera or monocular to eye level without crouching. Works well as all three parts (pod, ball head and this extension same diameter. As reviewed elsewhere the top (male screw) end has no rubber gasket so leaves a metal to metal contact which is not secure. need to use a simple rubber gasket. I use a bit of that rubber kitchen drawer liner cut to a 30mm diameter and snip a hole in the centre for the 1/4 inch screw. Five minute job. At £23 a touch expensive, I would have guessed £15 but hey who knows to price of anything these days....

También podéis usarlo en diversos gimbals, actualmente yo uso esta herramienta para conseguir diversos planos con mi gimbal Zhiyun Weebill S que no podría conseguir sin este extensor, totalmente recomendable

Like many have said, it is cheap. With saying that I have used it on a couple of occasions and tried it out. If i wasnt over the return period, I'd be returning it. I would be very afraid to use this after a couple uses. The attachment point with the 1/4 screw is just that, held on by a cap that marries up onto the hollow shaft. I'm sure the only thing keeping that in tack is some glue. Who knows when that will give out, espesially when you have a heavy payload with thousands of dolllars on the other end. You're taking a huge risk with this, I'd save the money and invest in a solid monopod as an extension pole.
