A: http://www.markertek.com/Attachments/Specifications/Winegard/85412-Specifications.pdfIt appears that the 7042/0742 are made for amplified Winegard antennas, and the 7296 is made for the NON-amplified Winegard Sensar antennas.

**Q: What is the difference between the rv-7042 and rv-0742**
A: According to a winegard pdf i found they are exactly the same, just the 0742 comes in a bulk pack. The pic i found looks the same too.

**Q: How many amps does the booster pull?**
A: For the antenna only it pulls about 1.5amps. But you can use the 12v outlet with a device that uses a maximum of 8amps.

A: This wall plate amplifier provides amplified antenna signal to 2 TV sets. It does not provide 12V DC to the antenna. The 12V DC to the wall plate amplifier provides power to the amplifier and to the 12V DC socket on the plate as a convenience to power 12V DC items. The signal from the antenna is amplified to improve reception for 2 TV sets. In a typical RV installation with more than 2 TV outlets, one output from the amplifier is fed to a signal splitter in order to fed the extra outlets. That splitter may be installed inside the wall behind the wall plate amplifier. If the amplifier is turned off the amplifier switches to the cable source if connected, but does not amplify the cable signal.
