It is 0.1 gram resolution and a 5.5 kg max weight. That 5.5 kg is large enough that you can put large things like a heavy pan on the scale. One nit: The on/off button on the newer version is a tad slow to respond. You have to press and hold it for a little while. (The old one was better.) The tare function works with positive and negative values, i.e. you can put a container of flour on the scale,press tare, than take out flour and show how much you have removed. It has a zillion units: grams, ounces, pounds, and many more. There is also a parts counting mode that I've never used. It seems well made and sturdy. The top is removable and can be washed. (But I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher.)
