Good Quality
We lift concrete with foam. These work great to keep out chemicals at a workable temp. Will continue to repurchase. We work in NC/SC not terribly cold.

Barely heats the drum. Worthless.
Bought 4 of these. Didn't use them until this past Friday, which was 2 days after the 30 day return window. Wrapped 4 drums on a pallet inside the heated warehouse. Plugged them up and left them for the weekend. Checked them on Monday and the outside of the drums were maybe 5 degrees above the warehouse inside ambient temperature. The only way a drum could get warmed up to the advertised 145 degrees is if the warehouse ambient temperature was 140 degrees. $1,579.40 down the toilet. These blankets are 400 watts (3.3 amps) each. To actually warm a drum, you need at least 1500 to 1800 watts (12.5 to 15 amps). Don't waste your money on these blankets.

Fantastic! Wish I had gotten one much sooner!
I was so happy to receive this heated cover for my hot water heater. I am in New England and we have been in sub zero temperatures for a week, which is a very long time for our location. My hot water heater in the the garage which is not insulated and I was terrified that the heater would freeze. i received this Powerblanket and it was very easy to "install". You just wrap it around the heater, tighten with the velcro straps and plug in. It got warm right away and there has not been a problem. I wish I had ordered this years ago.

It works pretty well as a drum heater for honey products in our meadery in the winter time. I love how the straps work on it and it's very quick and easy to install and remove on and off of drums. The only drawback is the set thermostat. I know they make one with an adjustable thermostat but it's a jump in price. Otherwise it works as advertised.

Impressed
I have two of these one is almost two years old and is going strong well with the money needs to be on all day but keeps the grease warm on a 15 gallon drum but makes greasing so much faster

Paid half of other places
I am a professional spray foam installer. My product needs to stay between 60-70 degrees at all times. Winter months used to be tricky until I got these. For the price of 1 of these at other places. I got 2 here. Same blanket and free shipping. Just don't leave them on for more than a few hours or you'll boil your foam.

They are relatively inexpensive.
I've bought blankets like this for years from a number of suppliers. In this particular order, I ordered two blankets. One blanket performed beautifully. The second blanket only got hot on the lower portion of the blanket. I was concerned that maybe the external controllers were bad, so I switched them between the "good" blanket and the "bad" blanket. But that didn't seem to be the issue. My advice is this: every make and model of these types of blankets seem to have a failure rate of about 50% in my experience. The good news on these is that they are inexpensive so if you need one that works, just buy two and you are more than likely covered. Why am I not more upset that there's a 50% failure rate? There is difficulty in manufacturing a flexible yet durable high powered heater. These types of things like to be inflexible. Roof top ice melting wires also have this problem. Flexible heat tape for pipes also has this problem. Could they fix them? Sure, but not at the prices the market will accept. And in reality, even if only half the blanket works, you will still get to the temperature you need - it may just take a while.
