When i purchased them the picture was black...thought that was what i was getting. Later noticed that the put "Grey" in parenthesis. But that is not the reason for the low rating....my fault for not reading and just relying on the pictures. The low rating is for the fit and material of the the grips. i had to modify for the right side for the ambi safety, the grips are quite a bit larger than stock and the material is very soft. If you have very large hands then the grip width may not be an issue for you. I have large hands but the grips make them a bit too large for me to feel really comfortable with. The material they make them out of is very soft....for what i would expect a grip to be and compared to all my other grips, factory and aftermarket. The only way i can describe it is like "chalky. I had to modify one side a lot to get it to work with the safety...wasn't hard because the material is so soft but it was an annoyance that i should'nt have had to deal with.
