These are great
Very sour- in my opinion, they are more sour than a sour patch kid, but I like that they are lower and sugar and lower calories. A really good alternative and they didn’t make my stomach hurt like most sugarfree candy does

They don’t taste the same as the grocery store bought ones :(
I admit that when I first opened the box the second photo is how they looked and came and I thought there was a bag missing. It turned out it was at the bottom laying flat under all the other bags. Clearly, someone dropped all the bags out and stuffed them back in haphazardly upon packing. Prices excellent for six bags. At the store, they’re almost 5 dollars each. This price is almost 50% less per bag though you have to buy in bulk which is this box. I opened a bag and ate a few and I will say they don’t taste the same as the store bought ones. They are moist less chewy and less sweet. I don’t know if it means that they were more fresh and if that’s how they are supposed to taste? I prefer the store bought ones that are hard and sweet and sour on the outside and chewy as you eat them. For this reason I will not be buying these, don’t like the taste.

A more glucose friendly option for those with diabetes.
These Sourmelon bites, Low Sugar Gummy Candies are delicious! They are helpful to me when I want something mouthwatering that doesn’t spike my glucose levels. They are quite sour until you’re accustomed to them. I’m glad SmartSweets makes them, great job!

New recipe change is awful & a dealbreaker at the same high price
I used to LOVE these. I would eat them all day long and they’ve been helping me kick habits of eating heavy sugar gas station type snacks. UNFORTUNATELY, they just changed the recipe. Not only are they now less healthy, especially for keto diets, but most importantly the taste and consistency is FAR WORSE. It’s changed so much that I have no plans on ever buying these again. I shared a few of these new ones with friends and family who also love the original recipe and they completely agreed that this is a huge downgrade. I don’t know why they made this change but it’s disheartening because I truly enjoyed having a healthy snack that was helping me build a healthier lifestyle. Now I have to look elsewhere unless they change it back. Even though these are super expensive for the quantity you receive in each bag, it was worth it for me. Now I wouldn’t eat these if they were free. The bright pink fish on the left is the new one, the right is the original. The new ones have a chalky consistency, taste somewhat medicinal, break up almost like bread in our mouth and lack the smooth feeling of the original recipe. Very upset. I called around to 15 GNC locations looking for any of the last of these original recipe packs and every single one is sold out (which is standard) because they are so popular. Why they would change the recipe so drastically is beyond me. Now I’m just hoping a different company sees the opportunity to enter the market (the high price point alone leaves an opening for competition). Hopefully though there will be enough complaints and a drop in sales that this company will change the recipe back. I was very proud to support them and the ambitious female founder - just hope I’m not alone in thinking the new ones are a massive downgrade and dealbreaker.

Delicious, perfect amount of sour, i will order again.
I have been trying to eat healthier recently but had a huge craving for sour candy and figured I could not be the only person who wanted a healthy alternative so I found a few options. Smart Sweets Sour Blast Buddies arrived first (I am still waiting on other brands to see if anyone does it better). I am literally obsessed. I was worried they wouldn’t be sour enough or would have a bad texture since the chewiness is important to me. It is a similar texture to welch’s fruit snacks but a little more hard and doesn’t get stuck in the teeth. It is the perfect level of tart for me, in fact I wouldn’t mind if some of the flavors were a bit more sour tbh. I am someone who loves sour things though, for me sour patch kids are not nearly sour enough. But I was incredibly happy with the sour buddies! I eat one bag throughout the day since they’re pretty filling tbh. I do think they’re a bit pricey but it’s worth it to me. I absolutely recommend. I have personally not had a problem with the boxes coming melted and they were delivered on a 90 degree day. I will say the coating on the candy isn’t as nice as the usual sour candies but I just don’t suck on them anymore. I also got the peach rings and i really sincerely hope they’re not actually discontinued because I really enjoyed them. I am not huge on regular peach rings, I got them for my boyfriend who loves peach rings and honestly I’m keeping them for myself lol. I tasted them because I was curious and I really loved them, I wouldn’t say they were sour at all, maybe a little bit tart but it’s definitely a sweet candy which I expected. The chewiness was about the same as the sour buddies.

Ehh
Not my cup of tea. They have a weird aftertaste like when you get perfume in you mouth on accident.

Tasty, perfect mix of sour and sweet!
I love these! I wish they were a little more affordable but I love these as a better candy option for my kids and myself!

Absolutely satisfies sour candy crave with a mild tang
It's unfortunate the reviews you see the most on top are negative ones. Almost turned me away but I said let me take a shot. When you're dieting you don't expect everything diet to be exactly like the sugary stuff. But you also don't want to eat anything nasty, way off, or with a weird aftertaste. This watermelon candy definitely hits the crave perfectly. It's not extremely sour but does have a delightful sour kick. The texture was gummy like you'd expect. It has a very slight sticky texture but does not get lost stuck in your teeth like someone made it sound. To describe the texture, it's like swedish fish, not like gummy bears. Which was perfectly fine with me. Unlike most candies which can be addictive enough to go to town on a bag, these were satisfying eating just a few every so often.

They changed the ingredients from the original formulation. Taste has gone downhill. No longer worth the cost.

They changed the ingredients. These don’t taste anywhere as good as the original formula, which I absolutely loved!! These are no longer worth the price.
