MB-20 GRANITE POLISHING CREAM DIRECTIONS: The following directions are an average recommendation. Different stones may require different quantities of product along with various techniques. IMPORTANT: Always make sure proper ing of the work area is utilized to protect surfaces that could be splattered by product. Wear safety glasses and gloves. COUNTERTOPS: 1.Make sure the surface is free of any coatings, waxes, sealers, grease and/or soil. 2. If the surface requires honing use quality Resin diamonds for granite or quartzite and hone surface with water keeping the surface and diamonds wet to at least 1000 grit if needed or higher, predicated upon the clarity of the stone being worked on. (You may have to go as high as 3,000 grit). Put more pressure and time if needed on the higher 2,000 and 3,000 grits. 3. Using your variable speed polisher, 600 - 3,000 RPM’s (a must have) with a 4, 5 or 7 inch pad driver using a hogs hair pad (works awesome), and set the speed to 1-3 or midway depending on your experience. 4. Use about 1/2 teaspoon per square foot (remember the as will vary) of product and a small a of water (1/2 tablespoon, more or less creating a slurry). 5. Start by targeting a 2 sq. ft. area and place the product (1 teaspoon) and 1 tablespoon of water in the center of your targeting. Place your polishing machine, (600 RPM’s to start with) and hogs hair pad directly on top of it. Starting slowly, spread the product out slowly controlling the trigger, all the while applying pressure attempting to dry the product out. At a point where it is almost dry you begin to increase the speed; at this point you should have no splatters. That is when you can pull the trigger for max speed at that setting and run the product dry while moving the machine swiftly over the target area. The use of pressure will vary depending on the stone but generally some pressure can be applied. 6. Check the results during the process with a squeegee and repeat if needed to
