Every day or two, I had to pour water in the drain to block the gas, in the summer time it wasn’t as bad as it is when there is less humidity and the dehumidifier is not working much, at least then water is going into the drain and helping. It was so bad, without water in the drain, I could hold my hand over the drain and feel the air coming out. Today I got these and immediately went to the basement, popped one of those in and immediately the odor stopped. I poured water in and it passed through and closed up blocking the gas from coming through. I am ecstatic ! It was always an embarrassment to have someone come to the house and we’d have to offer an apology and an explanation. No more, no worries. I’ve no idea how long these will last, so I’m going to buy more, they are well worth the money.
