Split Roller 110L - Carbon, One Size

This is our 3rd of this bag. As a family of 5 these bags are great for travel as they are sturdy and have great compartments we well as since they are soft top they are easier to put in a vehicle but are also very heavy duty. We’ve traveled internationally with these bags and have held up very well. I would opt for this over a hard case any day.

This unit seems to be well made and considering its light weight the material is dense and durable. The dimensions just meet the requirements of most airlines but since it holds so much gear it is important to weigh it before flying as it would be easy to overfill it. The inner compartments (there are 3) all have zippered covers so that when it is opened items don't fall loose.

Purchased for daughter to use for camp and then a two week road trip and it was excellent. Sturdy and well-made, it is able to hold a lot and remain very organized. Bag is relatively light weight too so perfect for airline travel.

I thought I was buying a new bag and, for what it’s worth, there’s a lot to like about this rolling duffle bag. I bought it on the basis of the NYT Wirecutter’s review. It’s roomy, has functional pockets and appears to be well constructed. Now for the bad news. The first time I used the bag I purchased from Dakine Equipment LLC through Amazon which I assumed to be brand new, I packed it and stowed it in the back of our station wagon only to notice with surprise that there were scuff marks on the bottom grip and wheels and what looked like writing with an arrow pointing to a dent in the outer rim. My suspicion is that the bag had been used and returned for the defect and then the seller turned around and sold to me as new. I contacted Dakine’s corporate support group who referred me back to Dakine Equipment, their vendor, but according to Amazon there is no recourse for a replacement or return. I can’t even leave seller feedback because I’m past the 90-day window since I haven’t needed to use the bag until now. Pretty sure I’d never buy a Dakine product again after this experience.

This is the third split roller we’ve purchased for our family to use. The first was purchased by my husband many years ago and has stood the test of time and travel. We’ve since gotten two more for our sons to use. It durable and sturdy. We love the organized layout and thoughtful design.

Great design but material is not durable, corners started ripping after only 2 flights. We’ll see how long it actually lasts. A little bummed for the cost

Excellent design and functionality. Worth the premium for a large travel duffel.

I have purchased and tried other types. Bought a Dakine bag roughly 10-12 years ago, and travel quite frequently over the year (Work out of town). My bag finally started to go bad and I replaced it with this one, and everything looks and feels and acts like the old one, so I am anticipating another 10-12 years without problems during my time away.
