The Art of Fallout 4 [Bethesda Softworks] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. The Art of Fallout 4 Review: Worth every penny - This was an excellent art book, and I am extremely happy with the purchase. It's 365 pages of lushly detailed, beautifully printed concept art from Fallout 4. I really enjoyed both seeing the germination of things that eventually appeared in the game, as well as the things that were brainstormed for the game but never included. Three things in particular to note: First, the detail is excellent. I particularly enjoyed going over some of the pages with a magnifying glass to see all the little intricate details of things like costumes, weapons, and robots, and seeing details that could never be included in the game without ballooning the already massive file sizes to something impossible to load. Second, particularly in the World chapter, the book has a real Star Wars feel. In particular, the concept art for makeshift shelters made from the wreckage of prewar Fallout society is conceptually very similar to Mos Eisley construction from old ship parts. Some of the costume design and weapons seem similar, more so in the concept art than even in the game itself, between Fallout and Star Wars. That probably isn't entirely coincidental, considering that both Fallout and Star Wars take inspiration from some of the same sources, particularly their similarities in the Art Deco stylings of the movie Metropolis by Fritz Lang. Third, the personality of the artists come through in the descriptions. It is obvious from their descriptions despite knowledge that many of their detailed brainstorms and concept art wouldn't make it into the final game that they were having fun just making them. The artists give detailed descriptions about how they took inspiration from several sources without copying them outright. Also, they wanted to create a game with a homogenized art structure while also having room to go off the walls a little. Overall, their joy in their work is contagious, and it's as much a joy to read about their creation of the artwork as it is to look at the artwork itself. $20-$50 might seem steep to buy a book, but this is one book that is worth your money. Review: For fans of Fallout 4. - A MUST for any fan of the game. Incredibly detailed, worth the money. Full of so much art. Just..so MUCH ART. Add it to your library.

Amazing arts book at an amazing value
The first thing I noticed with this book - is just how large it is. I'm used to hardcover books costing X2-X3 times than softcover books, simply due by the virtue of being hardcover, while in fact being similar quality/size otherwise. So expected this book to be "average sized". But the book is simply HUGE. It has excellent quality pages, with amazing art on them (we'll get to that later...) It's very sturdy, and feels well made. Looks like the huge art books you see sold in stores (for X2-X3 times the price) The content is a real pleasure for any Fallout fan. It features some behind the scenes concept art for the game. Absolutely stunning promotional art (you can see in the photos I attached). And even all the small art pieces, like posters and magazine covers, found in Fallout 4. So it's both and amazing book to enjoy, and an excellent value-for-money for what you're getting!

Amazing book for a Fallout 4 fan and in general.
Great product, the book is amazing! I can't believe how many details it has, the hard cover and each paper sheet are extremely good. As a Fallout fan this is a must have for me, I was able to finally buy it and I'm happy with it. The packaging was really good, well protected so the book came in perfect conditions.

Delivered fast, rich in content
Althought, I'm not a hardcore fan of the Fallout series, but as someone, who is literally obsessed with concept art, the quality & content of this book really caught my attention: there're pencil sketches, colour studies, 3D character models, poster, world, weapon & prop art, storyboards, even the very first steps of the creation of the game. I was blown away by the variety of themes and I'm still right at the beginning. Also, I got it a few days earlier, than expected, so it's a plus. :)

Amazing Art Work
It's really amazes me the level of artwork done in Fallout 4. The imagination the team who worked on Fallout 4 is deeply inspired. Not all the artworks got into the game but if it could what a treat that would have been. If you enjoy Fallout 4, art, and or game building, treat yourself to this volume of imagination.

Large and heavy!
Bought this as a Christmas present and when I got it in the mail, I didn't expect it to be as large and heavy! Most art books I can carry without any real struggle haha. But anyway, after giving this present away I managed to get a look at a few pages and was pleased with what it had to offer. It has sketches and all the good behind the scenes concept stuff you would expect from a high quality art book! Definitely recommend for fans of the games, a perfect addition to anyone's art book collection as well. Note: when I opened the package, I noticed the plastic wrapping was a little torn open already and the corners of a few pages were folded/pushed in. Something to keep in mind for anyone who likes keeping their books in perfect condition.

High quality hard cover.
While a sometimes controversial entry into the Fallout series of games, it is difficult to make a case for the game looking anything less than beautiful. This high quality book, with nice, thick pages, is built to last. The artwork inside shows off the amazing work of the creative team that put this game together. Definitely worth the price. Seeing the development and ideas that went into the game was enjoyable and enlightening. The book reminds me that games require so, so much work and creativity. I suggest that, if you're a fan of the game, buy it. If you aren't, but enjoy art and the creative process, buy it anyway.

Great book, good size to see a lot of detail in the artwork. Love the Fallout series and this just cements it even more. 10/10 recommend for anyone either playing the series and either playing Fallout 4 or thinking of trying out Fallout 4.

Hundreds of pages of concept art showing the depth of the design for the game and all of its content. A truly wonderful gift it would make but I bought it for myself as a treat and a massive Fallout 4 fan 👍

Fue un regalo para un familiar que es muy fan. Le gusto mucho. El libro es bastante grande y las ilustraciones son impresionantes.Abarca todo el juego y no tiene mucho texto pero es entretenido. Tiene bastante calidad y es de tapa dura.
