Powerbreathe Fitness Plus (Medium Load)

The device is easy to use. Improvement is supposed to take about six weeks and I have only been using it for about ten days but I am already able to increase the resistance significantly.

I bought this based on a government review of a similar product by the same maker that it can reduce blood pressure without medication. Been practicing twice daily for the past two weeks with at least 6 hours apart to allow adequate rest for the lung muscle. I don’t feel or see any difference yet. But I shall continue to use this device. I do not follow the suggested breathing method - breathe in and breathe out through this device. Instead, I only breathe in through the mouth… and remove it from my mouth during exhale. This way, I minimize the chance of saliva being pushed into the device which may post a challenge to keep it clean and germ free. However, I do dissemble the device and clean the components under running water, shaking off excess water, and let them air dry before reassembling. I shall provide an update upon the 6 week usage.

I did this twice a day (morning and night) for over 2 months. My blood pressure did not go down at all. My stamina may have increased a bit but not enough to notice. I even upped the resistance each week and it really didn't help my bp at all.

My product came from Japan with Chinese characters on the seal. Inside the box there was no manual, plus some tablets in a packet with Spanish writing- I have no idea what they are for or how to use them, or how to use the PowerBreathe Plus. It seems like this might be a knock-off.

The instructions are in Chinese with no easy way to translate. I returned the item and there was a $95restocking charge!! OUTRAGEOUS!
