Great quality for a machete, unbelievable quality for the price
Right out of the box I was impressed. I have the TT4014 Bolo Machete Sword, and it's great, but it didn't sheath in my mower frame quite like a normal machete would. The quality of this machete is no less than the TT4014, and it was very sharp right out of the box. I would say steak knife sharp, not razor sharp, but easily glides through small branches as a machete should. The balance is great too; it's a little lighter than I might like, but that means a quicker strike and a longer working day, so I'm good with it. I've had the Bolo Machete (TT4014) for a little over 2 months in the FL heat and humidity, and there is zero sign of rust or corrosion, so I expect this blade to hold up just as well. This brand is certainly making a name for itself; I've added even another machete to my wish list. I just can't believe the quality of the tool this is for the price (hence the title). Buy it, you won't regret it.

Highly Recommend from a Blade Nut...
I gotta admit I'd much rather buy American but for the same quality product you'd have to spend $50 with Ontario, next equal product if say has to be $100 or more. Everything else is junk Stainless Steel, as of SS is a bonus. SS is crap for a machete due to its brittle and breakable nature. I'd not recommend anything less than 1055 to 1095 and best IMHO is 1075 and 5160 steel. SS is for wall hangers not working blades of any kind. All stainless should be excessively thick as that's the only way any strength exist but still not suitable for a blade of any kind. Tramontina is a great product built on customers where they are a daily necessity for basic living so unless your looking for a chopper your not gonna beat this at really any price point. If your looking for a chopper than nothing beats the Ontario SP53 unless you wanna get something equal at double the money than go ahead. But that's your last chopper you'll likely need unless your a daily user of course and even then you can't beat it nor can you beat this Tramontina Machete at any price point for what this does of course in typical medium to light brush. I've owned likely most of your name brand machetes over the past 20ish years or so, I've experienced every blade steel for many years now and btw K390 blows every other edge retention steel away easily favorite blade is Spyderco Endura 4 in K390 currently my EDC though I do miss my fidget blades, but I do still own all my knives and carry 3 just 1 primary though... Ok thx and yes I Highly recommend...

Finish it Yourself Machete
This is a very good machete, especially for the money, however mine came in a state that I would describe as half-finished. A significant portion of the blade (toward the tip) was not sharpened at all. Some people prefer this, so it's a personal choice, but I tend to chop close to the tip sometimes, and it took some work to get it where I want it. The handle was quite a bit worse, though, as it was almost sharp enough to cut your hand without even doing any chopping. It's wood, and it was over-sized, so it was a simple matter of sanding it down a bit to make it comfortable. I also put a finish on it, but that's your choice. With all that done, it's a great machete. It takes a fantastic edge and holds it surprisingly well. If you're willing to do a little work to get it where you want it, I highly recommend it.

Excellent Machete
This was my first machete. After doing a little bit of research I realized I wanted a machete made in a Latin American Country, as it seems like the machete is used so heavily in Latin America. Tramontina had great reviews, and it was a good price. Item arrived quickly from seller and in great condition. The machete was perfect, as perfect as it could be. The full tang handle was tight and no flaws, and the blade was in great shape with no flaws. Do your research, yes the blade comes dull on purpose. The company puts a courtesy grind on, so you can finish putting the finishing touches on. For instance, some people want a final edge of 20 degrees or 15 degrees, etc. I was fine with that and I put an edge on it and I am completely happy. I bought another machete from a different company and the handle was loose, so I’ll get some epoxy to tighten it up. However, the Tramontina came with tight rivets on the handle and when I buy another one down the road I will get another Tramontina, without any hesitation!

been using this as a big chop dicer knifein the kitchen. I use the bolo for yard work mostly at this point and the longest ones for grassy weeds in the ditch.

Tramontina 14" machete
The Tramontina machetes are the best quality latin style machete for the money. It requires sharpening out of the box but they all do because machete makers don't sharpen them due to shipping, it does however come with the edge bevel already ground except toward the end/tip. Get you a good file and put you a good convex edge toward the last 1/3 of the blade and you got you a great working tool.

I wouldn't recommend getting this if you don't want to sharpen, it comes dull from the factory. However, with a mill file and a bit of practice, you can have yourself a decent machete for 20 bucks which is a pretty good deal. It's cheap enough to practice sharpening and it's quite soft so you have an easier time.

Mann will sie wirklich mögen. Sie ist allerdings sehr gorb verarbeitet. Griff ist bei mir etwas lose. Liegt sehr gut in der Hand
