The body is a thin-walled tube and the mic is very light. The little wind screen it comes with is about worthless. No documentation in the box, just the mic.But I love it anyway. It sounds surprisingly good, and not just for a forty-dollar mic. I had an Avantone CK1 for a short while and hated it. Maybe I had a bad example of that mic and a great example of this mic, but the TK120 sounds better. An interesting thing, really. The Avantone was built poorly with arguably higher-quality materials. This is built well with definitely cheaper materials.All three capsules sound good, with the hypercardioid seeing the most use in my setting. If you're recording outdoors in questionable weather or in a situation where you just know your mic stand is going to get knocked over--anywhere you're hesitant to pull out a "real" mic, it'd be nice to have a couple of these in your kit. I like the Omni capsule for acoustic guitar. If id take a guess, I bet its the same mic as avantone ck-1 for less than a 1/3rd of the price. Without the nice wooden box, different shock mount and shinny red paint. I did have 1 issue with the 4th one I ordered; the set screw on the bottom was loose causing the mic to cut out when the XLR cable moved, it was rather hard to take apart and took me a few tries to get it back together again; lost one of the 2 set screws (very small) in the process...but a little tape and a slightly bigger screw held strong.
