Great Product
Perfect replacement for our old knob. This is a heavy duty set. Super simple to install.

Worked like a charm
After our bathroom remodel the old varnished brass/gold pocket door stuck out like a sore thumb. We had brushed nickel throughout bathroom so we ordered this replacement locking pocket door in brushed nickel. It looks fantastic! It fit really snug after removing the old one. I had to use a rubber mallet to tap it into place once I was able to fit it onto the door. Our old locking door hardware never locked - this one locks perfectly. I am really happy with this purchase. I am going to buy another one (non locking though) for the laundry room. The only real challenge I ran into with the replacement was that the old strike plate had a stripped Phillips screw. I had to do a web search to find out how to resolve. I used a thick rubber band, put it over the head of the screw driver and firmly pushed into the stripped screw and was able to remove it. CONS Once in place it didn’t fit exactly where the other did and went in so snug it splintered the wood a little (see photos). Not a big deal to me though, I will clean this up and paint the door so it looks brand new.

Nice looking. Works well. Installation instructions wrong.
The door lock will not fit if installation instructions are followed. After cut out of the door per instructions the lock mechanism protrudes and will not fully seat. I drilled a 3/4 inch hole 1/4 inch deep 1 inch down from the top of the door cutout. This gave enough relief for the lock to fit in the door and for the locking mechanism to work. A chisel could be used to provide relief also. The lock itself was good. I would have given 5 stars if instructions had been correct. Installation itself was not difficult otherwise, but I had to return another day to complete the job because of faulty instructions.

5 stars--but--
5 stars--but--be careful. If you live in a new house and you are not very handy and have not installed this before: Don't. Hire someone. You are going to hire someone anyway after you mess this up, so save yourself the time and headache--and possibly, a new door! I have an old house, am pretty handy, AND (big part coming) the exact cut had already been made, as I was replacing, not installing from scratch. Even with all that, I look at it, and kind of laugh. It is far from perfect--that is, my installation. Example: I did not mortise out the strike plate area (besides the indentation for the latch), so it does not sit flush. Any smart guy would notice this, and instantly think less of you. : ) I think less of me already for this! However, since my purpose is to permanently close the pocket door, no one will see it. So, no matter. See what I mean? Anyway, really high qual item, nice finish, great price, I def recommend and will remember this brand--esp since it is such an odd name--Homo tek! Seriously!? : ) (Pictured--Antique Brass)

Drop In Replacement for My Door
The lock on our old fixture was not staying locked. Upon taking it apart, I found that the thin piece of sheet metal with two notches (once on each end) that is inside the mechanism and is meant to hold the lock hook down, had broken in two pieces. I measured all dimensions of my existing lock hardware mechanism and compared to the dimension diagram of this lock mechanism. It seemed to be an exact match of my current mechanism so I ordered one and it did turn out to be an exact match. The installation was a breeze. Very happy with the product, literature, and outcome. I actually ordered a spare as I have two pocket sliders and it one ever goes bad again, I do not have to research again as I spent time at various other hardware and home improvement stores looking for a drop in replacement.

Almost perfect fit but the finger grip indents need to have sharper angles on the front and back
These almost fit perfectly as a replacement for the 70s-style shiny chrome handles I had. I had to make the notch in the door 1/16" taller on the top and bottom, and drill an indent in the back for the latching mechanism when it rotates into the locking position. That was no problem; I didn't expect a perfect fit when replacing a handle decades old. My biggest complaint s that the indent for the finger grip slopes too much, making it too easy for your fingers to slip out of the grip when opening or closing the door. This is subtle. The front and back edges of the finger indent should be sharper angles so that your finger tips have a better pushing action on the handle. Like I said, subtle, but this shallower angle does make it a little harder to push the door without your finger slipping out.

Great!
Love this! Fit perfectly into our already assembled sliding pocket door. I was worried that it would not retract completely (and we need a wheelchair to pass) but it did! All great! Thanks.
