I have long nails and its very hard to button my small buttons. I used tis today and Wala!!! Once and done! It works a lot better. Its sturdy and very easy to use. If you have trouble buttoning your clothes do buy this. Saves me 5-10 minutes of frustration.

I ordered this for my parents. They have trouble getting buttons through the button hole with arthritic fingers. My mom loves this tool. It is so easy to button her shirt, and my dad's, with the tool. It was easy for her to understand how to use the tool, I didn't have to help at all. She can even button the button on my dad's jeans, which is a sturdier button. It does work best with shirt buttons, though. This was a great buy for my parents!

Good product if you do not have steady grip with fingers

Great product! Works very well. My husband has trouble buttoning collar and cuff buttons and he is so happy to have this..I wish I had found it sooner!

Great for people suffering from arthritis in the hands. It makes buttoning of shirts so much easier and faster.

If you have weakness in your hands or fingers but still want to wear clothes with buttons, this is a must hve dressing aid. even buttoning loop closures is doable. If there were such a recognition, I would nominate my OT for great award of some sort for introducing mr to this gadget!

I am recovering from cervical spinal surgery with left-hand/arm nerve deficits (which means one finger typing of this review is about a 1-hour task, but for a good cause). Using this device with my issues wearing men's clothing is next to impossible. At least it was for me. Imagine using only your right hand with no left hand available to navigate through the button hole, place the loop over the button, then rotate 360 degrees to complete the buttoning process. (You still have at least 4 more buttons to do. There goes the morning!) I assume the problem would be similar for a lady wearing women's-side buttoning clothing with a right arm/hand neurological deficit. Be aware that Amazon's return policy on this reasonably priced item is pretty much impossible to navigate, so you will own it if you buy it. There is no "Impossible to use with my neurological deficit" option in the return item process. In 1990, there was, apparently, a small oversight in the ADA's "helping invalids out" in the retail marketing space.

Buttons are a lot easier now

Bought this for my 87 yr old father who was struggling to get dressed as couldn’t manage buttons due to loss of feeling in finger tips and arthritis. The handle is chunky with good grip, he thinks it’s wonderful, uses it every day, fastening shirts no longer a problem. I can’t rate this product highly enough, such a simple tool has made a massive difference to my father & his need for independence

The button hook arrived on time , has worked well on shirt buttons, but the technique needs a little instruction and practice if your hands gave limited function
