I decided to give this sensor a shot and all I had to do was crimp it onto the existing wires. It worked flawlessly and it still is, even years later. Review: Easiest, cheapest and fastest fix for replacing missing bracket and sensor - Do not waste your time and money with the OFFICIAL BMW repair kit. I spent 4 hours trying to get these tiny 18 gauge wires into a bracket that clipped it into place and then had to buy the sensor. The kit from desertcart gives you everything you need except some wire-to-wire tubes - buy them at Walmart. Then if you are like me and missing the entire DS quarter splash panel, just zip tie it in place and it will work fine.
