Works with Antidote 100 reservoir.
I realized I needed a dust cover for my Antidote 100 reservoir after wearing my Camelbak Trinity in an unlit port-a-potty at night while helping my young child to go to the bathroom. Unfortunately the tube wasn't secured in the clip at the time and was flinging around as I tried to negotiate the tight space. Shudder. As you can imagine, I wanted a cover should I ever find myself in a similar situation. I contacted Camelbak customer service who told me that the Big Bite Valve cover would work for the Antidote. It attaches fine but it dribbles water even when fully closed. I didn't have this problem prior to installing the cover. I contacted Camelbak customer service and was told that it is dribbling because it was not designed for the Antidote. I am rather exasperated and would have preferred to know this on the front end when I contacted them to ask prior to purchasing. At this point, I will still keep the cover because I prefer dribbly mess to dirty bite valve. Since the Antidote is their new improved reservoir model, I hope they make a cover/accessories that actually fit & work like they are supposed to. *I'm revising my review. I happened to be watching a video review of the Camelbak Aventura 18 that also has the Antidote 100 reservoir. I found that the Big Bite valve actually has a hydrolock that will prevent the dribbling issue. I'm more astonished that none of the included tags, labels, marketing materials mentioned that fact. It does dribble more with the cover so that hydrolock is going to be key. I also agree with other reviewers that this should be standard not an add-on.

Must have to keep bite valve clean
These are great for keeping the bite valve clean. They’re a little bulky and it’s a little hard to get it through the hole at the top of the CamelBak backpack. It wasn’t too hard to put on. I ordered two of these in separate orders - both times I received the black ones instead of the blue ones I ordered.

Keeps sand off
Bought this to keep the sand off my bite valve while on a river trip, which it does well as long as I remember/pay attention before letting go of it after a sip. Works great for that because it fully encloses the entire bite valve instead of just covering from the top like some. It is a hassle to get it on the first time, but once it’s on it can stay there, so just a minor in convenience. Didn’t notice any weird flavor, but I also washed it before using it.

Necessary for keeping the valve dirt free
I have a Camelbak and found it hard to keep the bite valve clean, especially while hiking/camping since my pack would often be placed on the ground. I'm annoyed it isn't part of the normal package when you purchase the Camelbak system; I mean it's just a plastic gizmo! Anyway, it does keep the valve clean but the cover is quite big and dorky looking; it's also a PITA to put on. So I see it as a necessary evil. Recommended for health and ick reaons.

Does its job, and has held up well!
First off, I want to say I wish camelbak's came with this nifty cover. During the first month of using my camelbak i got so many mouthfuls of and and dirt that I realized how important this cover would be. I ordered the black cover because it was cheaper than the blue one, figure that out.. but was not disappointed at all. Shipping was fast and painless, and the product arrived on time. Install this little bugger is a bit of a challenge but i found that wetting the ergo hydrolock valve stem before trying to push the bite valve back on helped. Now that I have used this for a few months the only gripe I have with it is that the bite valve leaks slightly when the cover is closed. I think this is because the fit is so tight that it pinches it slightly, allowing some water to drip out. Simply turning off the yellow valve on the ergo hydrolock fixes this for me, but is a slight nuisance when biking. If your pack didn't come with a manual valve, definitely pick one of these up to to keep it from leaking [...] Over all I am very happy with this product and it has help up great ofter constant use.

The best thing for your water backpack! Do it!!
They should all come with these—no joke! The best thing I’ve ever bought for my water backpack. I used my water backpack for cleaning when I worked as a cleaner for 10-16 hours a day. This made it difficult to carry my cup everywhere. Eventually, I bought a CamelBak, which was a great investment, but the products would splash back up on the straw, making me sick. I knew I needed this, and I’m so glad they had it! I bought it and was extremely happy with it. I highly recommend it if you own a water backpack and use it often!

This should be included on all Camelbak reservoirs
Seriously. Why do we pay so much for such quality in a product, only to leave out something as important as a valve cover? That’s like buying a Hydro Flask without a lid? Besides that, it was very easy to install. It worked for me to take the silicone mouthpiece off, put it in this cover, align the base of the mouthpiece onto the valve, wiggle them down, and pinch them both and push down once its down the valve far enough till it feels secure. Doesn’t feel like it’s going anywhere unless I take it off. As others have said, it’s nice to have peace of mind knowing my water source is kept clean. Seriously Camelbak, add the $6 to the price of your packs to include this. Cheaper alternatives do.

Keeps dust, dirt, dry grass off the mouthpiece when hiking
For me, it’s a necessity. I don’t want to be spitting out dust, dirt, dry grass, and other elements when hiking and setting my backpack on the floor. Wish it was included with the camelbak when purchased. Installation takes awhile. I remove it every time when washing my camelbak. You need to keep twisting the mouthpiece left and right when installing with the dust cover. Eventually the rubber tube will slowly slide straight down. Frustrating, but well worth it. No instructions were provided. Someone on YouTube said to use hand sanitizer as a lube to slip the mouthpiece back on. I didn’t do that. I don’t want hand sanitizer on my mouthpiece. I was able to do it dry for storage purposes.

Easy to fit and very useful

It’s a little difficult to fit but worth it. It’s really good and makes the mouth piece safe from contamination.

Lächerlich teuer aber leider notwendig Tut was es soll aber nicht ganz so gut wie der mitgelieferte Deckel bei source Produkten Meine Finger sind nicht stark genug, um den Deckel einhändig zu öffnen. Schließen geht gut
