Update after 2 years: I love this case, it was the right purchase !!! Color has faded but case is still taking a beating. The protective flap over the charging port has help up great. Because phone cases keep the phone battery’s heat locked in, during the summer in the car I use a phone holder that clips on the AC vent to keep the phone cool. During cold weather in the car, I try not to allow the heater vent to heat the phone up too much. I do this by adjusting some of the car’s heat go to the floorboard. This should probably be done for most amy phone in a case on a vehicle’s vent clip. Original review: I drop my phone a good bit and I needed the extra protection on the corners. It does well, but check it after you drop the phone, the snaps sometimes come undone and you just squeeze them back snug and tight. A durable case like this does prevent the heat buildup from escaping easily so don’t let it sit in the sun too long especially if it’s a dark color.

This is my second time buying this exact product. Durable and enough protection for my sons phone.

It's a good concept, just not great. The phone is cradled in soft rubber which I like. The plastic snaps over this rubber cradle, but that's where things take a turn. The plastic is a bit brittle. It snaps together with authority, but then it takes some real authority to remove it. The ringer/mute button is kind of an open hole. No covering there. The screen is protected by an included stick on screen protector. It was nice how it sort of self adhered to the screen, after painstaking measures to line it up correctly. But ultimately, this case fails in two areas. I'm not expecting waterproof, but this case leaves areas very open to dust, moisture, and dirt. Second, the outer plastic case is brittle plastic, and I would expect it to fail after removing it a few times. Finally, I like integrated screen protectors to keep the dust out. This one just sticks onto the phone itself. One final chink is that mine came nicely packed, yet still had a noticeable scratch on the upper left corner of the plastic. How did that happen? I'm keeping it around for a backup. It was pleasing to hold in my hand, but I don't think it will hold up to having it with me on the job. I also think the plastic part should go on the inside instead of the outside. It looked sorta cheap. I will say, however, the inner rubber part is exposed on the corners with lots of drop protection. But, would the plastic stay together? Perhaps not...

This is the second time purchasing this case for my son, I'm really impressed that the first one lasted as long as it did, dropped more times than I care to remember, kicked across a parking lot (by accident), and stepped on, the phone survived all these fun activities with not a mark, that's why I repurchased the exact same one

Although there were no instructions for installation, I figured it out and it was easy to install. I ordered black, which looks great with my black iPhone, non slip, all holes & buttons are positioned perfect, and extended buttons on case work great. The only thing i had a concern about is the protective clear shield; i cleaned it with cleaners supplied in delivery package, and it became sticky, so, I reopened case and turned shield over as back side was not sticky. However, the sticky side still showed not clean and like a moisture mark between shield & phone, which I did not like. Again, I reopened case and tried to clean shield when suddenly it cracked. Obviously, shield not strong enough to protect my Apple iPhone from a fall or otherwise, so, I removed it and reinstalled protective case. No more dirty marks on phone screen. Protective case works good so far without the flimsy shield.
