I have a 1/2 overlay face frame cabinets.** A: Puzzled!! A 1/2" overlay is the standard with simple 3/4 box frame construction. More or less might be a question of aesthetics, and more work. **Q: Will this work on the Oxford door from ikea?** A: My doors were not purchased at IKEA. They were custom made and hinge wells crafted with a router, to my knowledge. So I've no idea. **Q: it says 44mm screw holes wont work. but it looks like you can drill new holes for 48mm would that work or am I missing something?** A: You got a wrong size **Q: What is the gap between door and face frame when closed? Is it mostly flush?** A: you can adjust it some with the screws on the end. It's not a large gap, I have shaker cabinets, Hampton bay, with a 1/2 overlap and I could adjust them to be tight and look nice. I have several different hinges due to customization.
