There is NO better way to mount your thermal critical processors
Silver is the BEST metal for conductivity, silver particles are suspended in this thermal paste. If you measure the correct amount and evenly distribute it with a non conducting paddle, and do NOT excessively apply. This product will give you many Years of great performance. Of course you should be ESD safe (Electro Static Discharge) dissipate any charge to ground prior to working on your board, and place yourself at circuit common (neutral voltage) with wrist straps and surface dissipating Blue or Black conductive material properly grounded. I have been working electronics for longer than most of you have lived, and started with Tube technology in engineering, theory, design.... Its good, its Great, Love this Artic Silver 5, its the latest release.

Nuclear Cloud Chamber (Peltier Cooled)
I'm using it in my no-dry-ice TEC Peltier electronically cooled "Nuclear Cloud Chamber". How do I apply the thermal paste? If your application is round use the pea-shaped blob in the center and smoosh. If it's a square/rectangle use a spreader. On test after test on YouTube it really didn't matter. In my application my cold plate is plexiglas and I can SEE the thermal paste from the top-side of the chamber and had to use the spreader method (old credit card) to get it looking nice. Smoosh method and "hope" it's everywhere (it won't be) or spreader and "know" it's everywhere. LOL! This is underneath two Peltier cooler tiles > plexiglas cold plate >rubber gasket and a big old wine goblet. Most of the aforementioned pieces are coupled with thermal paste. Power comes from an ATX computer power supply I made into a bench top power unit a while ago. All of this is going on my 'Science & Optics' Blogger...for no real reason other than I have more fun doing this than shoveling snow or mowing the lawn (winters suck in Detroit). The wine goblet is filled with 99% isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol which gets supercooled and turns into a fog in the the glass goblet. Then you can see alpha, beta, gamma and muon tracks zipping through the fog: visible radiation! I have various radioactive sample sources, plus if you put no radioactive stuff in the chamber every 3 or 3 minutes you'll see a particle zing through and that'll be the result of a cosmic ray interaction: a muon! My other nuclear cloud chamber is MUCH simpler: an upside down aquarium resting on a metal plate that sits on top of a block of dry ice. I want to eventually bring this into work (I'm a librarian) and while the radioactive stuff is safe (unless you swallow it) the dry ice is just annoying to deal with after the awesomeness of it gets old: it's cold, melts (well, sublimates), will explode any container it gets sealed it, burns, little kids want to touch it...all not so great for a science demonstration. Plus the only place that sells it is the Walmart that's like 15 minute drive. With this design I just plug it into a wall outlet and dump in a little rubbing alcohol: bam! Coldness. PS. These are both VERY, VERY TINY!!! Smaller than my pinkie finger. Michael Logusz Science & Optics

Worth it. Get it. You'll be glad you did.
I have used this thermal paste for the last 13 years and have never been disappointed. Whether the cpu was water or air cooled I had fantastic results in heat transfer. Paste is easy to apply as long as you understand how to do it properly. This stuff also holds up well over time as I had it in one computer for 7 years before removing the cpu and the paste was in great shape. Definitely get some Arctic Silver 5.

Works perfectly
Lowered the temperature of the CPU by 20°C it's freaking awesome 😎😎😎

Reliable, High Quality, Reasonable Price
Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound is pretty much my "go to" thermal paste when building a new PC (or tweaking the occasional Raspberry Pi and other processors for overclocking, etc). There are more expensive thermal compounds and I have used them. However, I've seen no gains when using the more expensive brands. Perhaps I'm just not running my processors hot enough. :-) In any case, in my opinion, if you get Arctic Silver 5, you won't go unhappy. Have fun with your builds!

Saw this recommended and tried it
Used it on an MSI gaming laptop I had for two years, when I opened it up all the factory paste was dried up. Used some of this and worked like charm, am able to enjoy my games with no issues and my temperatures are stable and cause no problems.

BEST FOR THE DOLLAR.
If you are looking for thermal compound, it doesn’t get much better than arctic silver for the cost to performance ratio. There are, in-fact, more efficient thermal compounds available, but the performance per dollar is not within reason. If you’re just getting started with PC building, this is a good solid quality buy. And no. this wont short your system if you make a mess. It will mess up the CPU socket though.

Buy this all the time for my computers, works well keeps the cpu or graphics card cool. Nice small pea size bit of paste on the cpu and throw the heat sink on. and jobs a goodern.

I have used this product for years through many builds. I can always rely on it to help keep me cards and cpu cooler. I just wish the tube was a little bigger.

The product is perfect, before applying this paste gpu temp. Was close to 90 and now not more than 78 on full usage , cpu temp. Got 100 but now its not more than 68-70 on full usage My laptop is lenovk y50-70 Specs I7 4710hq 16gb ram ddr3 Nvidia gtx 860m 4gb ddr5 gpu 1tb seagate hdd ... But overall i gave 3 starts bcoz the delivery ti. E was 1 month, i ordered it on 15 nov, 2016 and got on 15 dec, 2016 bco, item was importd from portland, america.. But took too much time to come by dhl...... If it was a fastr delivry i would have givn 5 stars
