I recently (May '22) used a friend's True Cut True Sharp $36.99 (!!$!!) "Diamond Grit" Rotary Blade Sharpener (hand operated, not electric/plug in) that was a completely different style compared to the one that's currently available at Amazon. The only thing similar was the blue color of the sharpener. I searched for hers in stores, online, and on Amazon, to no avail. She said she'd purchased it over 3 yrs ago (not on Amazon). So I ordered what I thought was probably the next, newest, best -- it's the long one with a single slit, 13.5longx2.5widex3/4high" approx. This is a piece of junk, it doesn't work. It tore up my 60mm blade, and worked once for a 45mm blade and then failed completely. Complete waste of money. Only thing worse is the True Cut Electric blade sharpener available at Amazon for a whopping $59.70; another friend let me try this version, as she was wanting to get rid of it because she couldn't figure out how to make it work. I tried her electric version. It was even worse than the version I bought. A video I watched suggested if the blade is nicked, there's no repair possible. So buyer beware. Best advice? Be careful not to nick your blades on anything (easier said than done), and buy NEW blades when your old ones get dull

It works! I sharpened 45mm and 60mm blades. You leave the blade in the cutter and just swipe it several times and the blade is sharpened. Very convenient and easy to use.

I looked far and wide for a sharpener for my rotary blades. This unit is the best by far! The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is because it takes a bit longer to get the blade sharpened than they showed. Also, you need to take extra care to make sure that you are holding the blade just right while using this product.

Not very good at sharpening titanium coated 60mm blades that were purchased on Amazon. The blade was sharpened over the recommended number of strokes going both directions yet, the blade wasn’t sharp enough to cut cardboard.

Works and is easy to use.

I have bought other rotary sharpeners but this one is really good and so simple to use. Ran my 4 rotary cutters through it and they are now in top shape - this is a great buy.

This sharpener can be used for blades of all sizes and is extremely easy to use. A must by for all quilters who use rotary cutters

Pretty disappointed. I don’t find this to work at all. It also leaves black dust that stays on my rotary cutter that will not come off.
